How nice Carmen to meet a new friend in Carolyn ! I have not been to antique shops in a while, there never seems time! I am glad you get to and it will be nice when the weather warms to go to the outdoor flea market. Have a great week, Terri xo.

I use to love visiting antique shops, but like everyone else these days, I’m more of a minimalist now. I don’t like to bring anything into my home if it doesn’t serve a purpose. It’s still nice to see antiques and think about how objects were used and why.

Good for you Amy! My daughter is a minimalist, I am working on downsizing and being very selective about what I buy. However, it’s fun going to flea markets even just to browse and I do enjoy my collections. 🙂

I love antique shops, flea markets and thrift stores! I always wish I had a bigger house after visiting my favorite store.

I love thrifting too! I’d guess half my wardrobe is from thrift shops. 🙂

Hi Carolyn! I was about to let you know that I posted about the antique shop but here you are! Thank you so much for being my guest on my blog! It is so heartwarming to meet compassionate people! I’m glad you wore your “heart” on your sleeve, which gave us an opportunity to meet! And you’re right, we could have chatted for hours! You’re one of those people I take an immediate liking to! 🙂
Thank you for being an advocate for animals and for making a difference! The future is vegan! I love promoting a slow fashion, a healthy lifestyle and of course, kindness to all creatures!
With compassion,

So true! You never know what you’ll find, that’s the fun of it. I had been looking for an old black phone, but they are usually $50. so I was glad to pick this one up for $15. I like a mix of hi-tech and old tech! 🙂

How many beautiful things always on your blog and what a beautiful philosophy of life you bring us. Always admiring the beauty of your looks and your accessories and all those wonderful things you find in stores. I really like your two jackets, the rose and the red one. The red on that skirt and that top that so many beautiful memories evoke me.

And the beautiful things you say always encourage me more than you know! Thank you so very much! The photo with the red velvet jacket is what I wore to my grandson’s 13th birthday dinner and also to a vegan restaurant (I’m sad that it is closing). That is my mom’s skirt and I will post soon about this outfit. I hope you will like it! 🙂

What finds Carmen, the markets look great, not so keen on the last one, that looks more like a museum and as you said rather expensive. In the second lot of pictures you got these little 5 Steiff “Meckies” in a bowl. I had a small one with the checked red shirt and I loved it, I took it to school once and lost it. I was so sad about that. Funny to see that on a flea market half way round the world. Just wonderful stuff they sell!

You’re absolutely right, the last one (San Francisco) was like a museum. I liked Noah’s Ark but it would be too big for our house and much better in a museum for everyone to enjoy. Most of the other antiques were not my style anyway, besides being unaffordable.
I took a photo of the Meckis because I have several in different sizes. You and I recognize them because we are German. Sorry that you lost your little one. Perhaps you’ll find one again in a flea market. 🙂

That is where I saw them before, on a picture from you. on your blog, I remember. I did love them. My sister had the girl and I had the boy. Yes who knows, I might find one again. 🙂
