As my readers and friends already know, I promote slow fashion, sustainable fashion, thrifting, I support local businesses, small businesses, ethical companies, artisans and I especially look at lables to see where the item is made.
This Dolman sleeve sweater is made in the USA!
Dolman sleeves–minimizes the appearance of the waist–and who doesn’t want their waist minimized?
The colourful tie-dye with a ’60s vibe caught my eye, so I checked the lable–made in USA. I headed straight to the cashier without even trying it on. I knew I’d love it because it’s 100% cotton waffle weave thermal and it’s a lovely the style!
So cozy and perfect to wear with jeans. My pink booties are from the last century, over 20 years old and great for dancing. Speaking of dancing, that’s another New Year’s resolution I plan on keeping–to keep on dancing! I love slow fashion and slow dancing!❤️
This resolution will be easy to keep all through the year!
How are you doing so far with your 2021 resolution?

You look fantastic; more than your simple tops and jeans, your smiling face is more attractive

Such a cute top! I have also committed to buying less, but spending more on higher quality, longer term items.

It is wonderful you have taken the slow fashion challenge these past few years Carmen! It is inportant to know where are clothes came from . start to finish. This Dolman sleeve sweater is really cute on you, and goes great with the jeans and the booties. We all like a slimmer looking waist! I know how you love dancing, I hope it comes back soon for you! Have a lovely day, Terri xo.

Thanks so much Terri! My fashion choices have changed since the collapse of the Rana Plaza in Bangladesh after finding out the horrific working conditions of garment workers in some countries and factories.
Have you seen the TRUE COST widget on my sidebar? It is a real eye-opener.
While I’ve always loved fashionable clothes, I bought into fast fashion sometimes for awhile, thinking I’m getting a bargain with a cheap price tag and unaware of the TRUE COST of cheap clothing.
Now I’d rather pay a little more and know I am buying from an ethical company who does not exploit their employees. First choice is Canada and USA. 🙂

Yes! I’m really trying not to do CCP!! Just now my husband said he needed socks, and was going to Walmart. I asked him not to. they contributed millions to BlackLives Matter. Nowadays it was so important to vote with our dollars! I wish I could thrift like you. But it sure is hard to find my size! ❤

I agree! We need to vote with our dollars! Unfortuately, BLM is an anti-American movement which many people are unaware of.
While black lives are certainly precious and all people are created equal by God, I do not agree with their ungodly ideology.
“We believe that prisons, police and all other institutions that inflict violence on Black people must be abolished…” Defund and remove the police have been rallying cries.
I thank God we have dedicated police officers that enforce law and order.

Thank you so much! I’m glad you like my outfit and I always appreciate your kind comments! You know that one of the reasons I blog to bring awareness to the importance of fair trade and ethical companies. We care about the garment workers and animals and also our environment! We can all be part of the solution if we care. 🙂
Fashion with compassion! ❤️

Thank you! Tie-dye makes me feel like I’m wearing an abstract painting–a work of art. 🙂

Yeah it is like an abstract painting… I love the blurring and fading of lines. I feel it is symbolic of the grace one experiences as we get older 🌹🌹
