It’s been eleven years since my dear mom passed away. She was not only beautiful and fashionable, but more importantly, she was a loving mother and grandmother. I am reblogging Jean’s post because she is wearing my mom’s dress designed by Diane von Furstenberg.

What a great story!! I’m glad she didn’t sell your mom’s dress…it’s really gorgeous and I hope it passes to your granddaughter…one day.

Thank you, Bob,
I hope to find a photo of my mom wearing this dress. Jean is going to take a picture of me wearing it, too. That will be fun!
What year did your brother die? This weekend, we are both remembering a loved one who is gone.

So sorry to hear you lost your borther–and so close to my Oma’s passing. It’s never easy. I’m glad we can share stories to keep their memories alive.

That beautiful story must be so meaningful to your daughter Jean. What a dream come true to meet Diane while wearing one of her dresses. Jean had a wonderful day. Your mother, Jean’s grandmother, was a wonderful woman. Seeing her legacy in you and Jean makes it easy to see that.

Yes, it was a fun day and an honor to be wearing my Oma’s dress. I felt like a princess and I was so happy to have had such a stylish grandmother.
