I’ve always loved polkadots ever since I saw Mini Mouse (one of my fashion inspirations) every size from tiny dots to big bold polkadots!
My polkadot top is second hand ($3.) I bought it because it reminded me of my mom. It’s exactly the same colour with the same size polkadots as my mom had (a two-piece dress, matching blouse and skirt that looked like a dress but could be worn separately. She had several two-piece dresses). Wish I had her outfit.
I can wear it with blue jeans for a casual look.
Polka dot top: thrifted
White tank top: gift
Blue jeans: Hue
White jeans: Le Chateau
Vegan sandals: Made in Italy
I’ve worn it as a vest over a white tank top with white jeans.
Rosa’s Garden
My dear friend Rosa used to be my neighbour for many years, our children grew up together. Although we both moved from the neighbourhood, we still live in the same city and keep in touch.
Rosa has a beautiful garden that she takes care of herself. She plants flowers and paints and decorates with such creativity. Her garden is an oasis in the city, with a Mexican ambience, lush and colourful. She paints with Mexico blue (paint she brought back from Mexico on one of her trips).
This is a place you can relax and enjoy a siesta!
Your hair looks very nice!

Thanks so much! The credit goes to Rosa, besides having a green thumb, she’s an amazing hairdresser! 🙂

Polka dots is one of those classics that will never look out of date and I love how you found its versatility using it over the white column. My best bargain was when I just started thrifting about four years ago. I found a burnout velvet silk tunic top from Armani Exchange for $2.99. It was before Goodwill took a lesson from Salvation Army and started looking at the labels and charging a bit more for certain ones. It is an awesome tunic and I’ve even worn it to fashion events.
Rosa’s garden looks like its an oasis and just beautiful.

Polkadots, just like stripes, are here to stay! My top was actually $2.99. What a bargain you got! I’ve noticed the price jumps as thrift shops are aware of labels and quality clothes.
Thanks for hosting 1st FRIDAY SLOW FASHION WALK!

Your blue fits nicely in that blue Mexican garden, and what a great garden it is. It is absolutely perfect for chilling out. You could spend hours there, even with different polka dots. 🙂 I see it is warm as you are in short sleeves. Isn’t Summer wonderful! ♥

We both agree, summer is wonderful! Rosa’s Mexican garden is like paradise! It’s hotter than it looks, our temperatures have been soaring and too humid, but hey! I’m not complaining.
I ❤️ summer!

What a beautiful polka dot top! Meencantan well, so big and with this combination of colors so balanced. The top pattern is cute, delicate and elegant. Beautiful the outfit with your jeans and sandals, a beautiful informal proposal but, as always, with that touch of delicacy that you print to your looks. The second proposal, very Tommy, combining white. Blue and red is pretty, but my preferred option is the first one. The garden is beautiful, it is a perfect place to relax and live the happiness of summer in Ontario. I love your hairstyle, you are very pretty. The soft molding feels great.

The dress which I’m wearing featuring on my blog was R10 it’s roughly 73 cents when converted. I love polka dots but, I tend to wear clothes with smaller polka dots. You look stunning as always.
