Layers add interest to an outfit as well as warmth that can be peeled off if need be. But what I like about faux layers is that I can have the look without bulk. Case in point, this lovely turquoise pullover that looks like I’m wearing a white chiffon blouse underneath.
This could be an easy DIY project. I’ve got a a couple of sweaters that are a little short and I could make one myself by buying a thrifted blouse and bravely cutting a few inches off the hem and cutting around the collar. If I ever get around to it!

I seem to remember–at least in Charles Dickens’ day..that men used to wear just cuffs and collars under their suit jackets?

Layered clothes always look good. Your idea is lovely – the pastel colour of your jumper with all white makes a fantastic combo. Kisses – Margot :))))

Hello dear Carmen 🙂
So that’s what faux means … not foxy then … well, your photos may disprove that assumption. 🙂 🦊😳💕💕

That’s such a great idea for a DIY, Carmen!! My mom has a couple of sweaters like this, and one of them the collar buttons on and off. But I love the idea of making it—we’ll see if it ever happens though, LOL!

It’s a great way to lengthen a sweater and have a layered look. Your mom could do this. I’d like to see it if you do make one.

One of my favorite color combinations for summer – white and turquoise! Looks very beautiful. Yeah, these faux layers add more interest to the pullover. Love your little cute necklace and the bracelets.

Thanks very much Olga! It’s a great combo, isn’t it? The pullover would be quite plain without the layers and that’s why I bought it. Now where to find time to make one with an old pullover? First I’ll need to of thrifting. 🙂

What a beautiful color this jersey has! It’s turquoise, that color you like so much and so many accessories and jewelry you have, right? It shows on your bracelet and your precious necklace. The jersey is cute and the detail of the bass and neck is beautiful, because it turns the look into a very delicate and elegant proposal. Magnificent the combination of white and turquoise, with those white trousers that are, also, a bit your sign of identity. The bag and sandals are very beautiful. As always, you are very beautiful in the photos!

Thank you Ute! I have made some of my own jewellery. I’ve got several unfinished projects, seems there’s never enough time (blogging is time consuming 🙂 ) but it is rewarding to make things, a feeling of creating that makes us happy.
