The splendour of the blossoms have come, trees and shrubs garbed in delightful colours. Northern Gold Forsythia has prolific yellow flowers, the same shade as in my blouse that I bought in a thrift shop in Seattle.
The blouse is a slightly peplum style with bell sleeves. It’s pieced together with lace, chiffon and sheer fabric, in colours of orange, beige, brown and northern gold, just like the blossoms. The little orange buttons are covered with fabric.
Dressed down with brown corduroys for a casual country road walk …
Dressed up with a handkerchief skirt (also thrifted) to go dancing …
Hi Carmen, I LOVE the blouse. It is so perfect for fall and has my faves in there too. I like the sheer fabric intertwined with the solid colors. The pants go great with it and I also love that skirt!! Where did you get the purse? It is so cute. hugs, Terri xo.

Thank you very much Terri! It was the various fabrics sewn together that I found so unique. Orange and mustard are a pretty pair and perfect for autumn and livens up brown. I bought the purse in a little boutique in one of our nearby towns.

Thank you so much Patti! Not sure if it’s the blouse, the blossoms or the beautiful weather that’s making me smile. Spring is definitely energizing!

What beautiful landscapes! I love the yellow flowers behind you. And I love your blouse, that cute design and color scheme. The flared sleeves and the transparencies in your arms are precious. I like the look combined with the delicate brown pants and your animal print dancers, the whole set is delicately harmonious and very warm. And you, in the photos, OMG, you look really beautiful, wonderful! The second look, with the skirt of handkerchiefs is so delicate … I already comment in the video how much I like the dance, but I can not fail to say how beautiful is your look with the blouse and skirt, it is a small aesthetic treasure. The delicacy of your personality, those colors, soft fabrics, precious sandals … everything is a harmonious, delicate and wonderful set, everything is the most beautiful Carmen.

Thank you so much Josep-Maria! It really is a lovely time of year to see the blossoms everywhere and hear the songs of the birds. Everything comes to life again! I’m very happy for your review of my outfit, as you know I care very much about the environment. The clothes we throw away is such a waste; I have seen videos and photos of discarded clothing in landfills. Disposable fashion is not good for people and our world.

The skirt is just perfect for dancing. Yay. Looks great how it all fits together. And what a beautiful handbag that is. It all goes so well with the new blouse. It looks warmer now where you are, Carmen Spring is lovely and we have conquered Winter again. Happy May!

Thank you very much Ute! My purse is part of my flower collection of handbags. I have them in various colours and they are non-leather. I’ll look for a photo of my assortment.
Our weather is still unpredictable with a few warm days scattered among chilly days and many rainy days. But thankfully, no snow in May (so far). Winter has been conquered, as you said! 🙂

Thanks a lot Jodie! It was exactly for that reason that I bought this blouse, the different fabrics pieced together makes it so unique. Showing it two different ways was fun. 🙂
