Meet my twin sister.
Can you tell which one is me?
As a child, I always wanted a twin sister. I was intrigued every time I saw twins. I was actually a little obsessed with it so much that my best friend and I used to dress alike sometimes. It’s probably why I didn’t mind my mom buying us matching outfits (or having the same dresses made for us) and why I loved buying mother-daughter outfits for Jean and me. Also, the reason why I still like buying the same clothes as her–besides the fact that I love her style! Heres are some of our same outfits.
I bought these lace blouses recently, first blue paisley …
and then red paisley …
So now I have twin paisley blouses. I often buy things that I like in two or more colours. Do you?
Paisley gets its western name from the town of Paisley in Scotland (a centre for textiles where paisley designs were produced) but the design is actually a pattern originating in Persia.
My first memory of the paisley pattern was when it became popular in the ’60s; my brother had a colourful paisley shirt. Unfortunately, I only have a black and white photo.
Paisley remains one of my favourite patterns because it reminds me of my brother Johnny.
Do you have any paisley?

LOVE this twin sister post. If one of you is great two is twice as good 🙂 And you can never have too much of a good thing. 🙂
The paisley tops look great on you, the entire outfit is stunning. You are an inspiration.
Love you photo editing skills, very impressive. How’d you do that?
I think it goes without saying I “often” buy the same item in multiple colours. Shocker right!

Thank you so much Bri! What a sweet thing to say! I used some trick photography: a tripod, so the background is the same and then put two photos together in the middle.
Why am I not surprised that you buy items in multiple colours? 🙂
Happy Friday!

Beautiful outfits on both ‘sisters’…☺️ Excellent idea of having twin clothes in different colors!
Paisley pattern reminds me of my dear mother who had a warm Kashmir shawl with this kind of motifs. Whenever it was chilly, I remember how my mother took the shawl and put it around her shoulders.
So, thank you my good friend for this post, it brought special memories in my mind and heart!

You are very special to me my dear Ileana, I love how precious memories come to mind with tangible things. Thank you for sharing your special memory about your dear mom and her paisley shawl. I would like to find a paisley shawl. I have many scarves, but not paisley. Perhaps we could go shopping together one day looking for one.

First the memory for your brother Johnny, that focused my attention on the post. Then the precious proposal in two colors, both related and looks totally different. I love this kind of pattern, it has a classic and elegant look that thrills me. But I look especially pretty neckline design with the fabric so romantic and delicate filigree. This kind of blouses are particularly suitable for you, your appearance, too delicate and romantic. I prefer that combination? Both. Red tones look more spectacular, but Carmen and the blues is always successful proposal. I can not imagine twin Carmen, Carmen is unique, unrepeatable and the most wonderful!

Thank you so much for your kind comment about my brother, you have always been so thoughtful and you know how much I miss him. There is a story you do not know. If it had not been for Johnny, I would not be alive today. It is a long story.
I love how you always comment in detail about fashion, you could have been a fashion consultant and advisor with your keen eye of fashion and aesthetics! You are a fashion and style specialist 🙂
Yes, I am one-of-a-kind, there is only one me, no copies!

You can’t fool me!!
In college my best friend and I declared ourselves twins.
And 1 day we switched dresses, all day long! We had people scratching their heads in confusion!
So much fun!
I didn’t know paisley came from Persia!
