If you are within two hours of Toronto, the island is a fantastic day trip.
If you are ever visiting Toronto, be sure not to miss it, it makes for a fun time, with kids and especially without!
Saturday was a perfectly warm day to enjoy a last hurrah at the island before cooler temperatures will be creeping in.
Stopping at a charming parkette to watch 24 swans swimming was both magical and worth the little detour. It is a well-kept secret place and I will share it with anyone interested in seeing it, although, I can’t promise the swans will be there, I can promise a gorgeous view of the Toronto skyline.
WOW!

I love the Tigress photo…and Ralph….Yes,I did look, mesmerized.
I have had some enjoyable opportunities to sail around Toronto Island and out from the Cherry spit towards Toronto Island…a different perspective of the Toronto Skyline.
I think we are all drawn to lighthouses wherever they are….they have witnessed so much history!
Never mind the CN Tower….the views of you dancing like no one is watching are the highlight of this blog.
Canadian weather is unpredictable…..one Thanksgiving weekend , Janet and David were swimming at Sauble Beach on Oct. 7.
I am amazed , surprised, that you can’t swim. I don’t swim much but recommend that you learn.

Woo-wooo! ( me trying to whistle) Loving the bikini and you look fabulous Carmen in the white dress, so feminine and lovely. Some really pretty pictures. I like to visit lighthouses, and I try and get mural shots too if I see them, just another medium of art. My weekend was the ER, but thats another story.Glad you enjoyed the weekend!

I am surprised temperatures were still warm enough there, for you to be by the water. I assumed it would be far colder. The view of the skyline is truly something else. This is nature at its finest.

The weekend was warmer than a summer day! Today it rained and things have cooled off. September in the rain! I’m posting Sunday’s adventure now.
Thanks for stopping by.

Ha ha!! Thank you Ralph, I should have been wearing my Little Mermaid costume. I would like to be a mermaid but I can’t swim!
If you didn’t look, how do you know I was wearing a bikini?

What a lovely day trip! I enjoy Toronto Island as well. It’s hard to believe it’s autumn–who would have thought bikini weather would happen so close to October? Great bikini, BTW. You wear it well. If you’ve got it, flaunt it 😉
I’d like to get a folding bike. It would be a lot of fun when we go on day trips. I’ll look into that.

Thank you so much Jean! While riding around the island flashes of memories came back and I remember you rollerskating with your red roller-skates. The maze is gone now. I must confess, I’m glad I could bypass the kiddie rides and attractions. 😉
Folding bikes are very practical and fun. ❤

Oh, that hedge maze was so fun sad to hear it’s gone. Glad you could have a nice date outing and not worry about kiddie rides 🙂

Thank you dear Sara! I hope to make it to Israel someday, so many of my friends have been there. I teach Israeli dance and would love to dance on the Mediterranean beach of Tel Aviv!
