Seattle Space Needle

Wednesday, March 20th is Date Night at the Seattle Space Needle. We had a spectacular time on top of the world in November. As the world revolved around us, we enjoyed a delicious dinner!

It was a magical experience to see the city at twilight, a romantic sight. From the observation deck, we watched the day turn into night, taking pictures of the panoramic view of Seattle.

I felt regal wearing my mother’s Diane Von Furstenberg wrap dress for the first time in my life (which now belongs to my daughter, Jean).  She let me wear it and I felt like Queen for a Day! We were seated by windows in the elegant restaurant.

Night fell as we savoured our meal, and the city lights looked like a horizon of tiny glowing candles.

After dessert, I had to change back into my own clothes (I felt like Cinderella at midnight). Then we drove to the airport, homeward bound for Canada.

A night to remember!

Thanks for stopping by! I know you have a tower in Finland – Näsinneula tower, in Tampere which was built in 1970-1971, inspired by the Seattle Space Needle! I was born in Stuttgart, Germany, the city that has the original, first TV tower – the Fernsehturm (opened in 1956), and I grew up in Toronto, home of the world famous CN Tower. I have always loved the views of cities from these magnificent towers!!

      Have a great weekend!

How beautiful Seattle, I’ve always wanted to visit that city, it is one of those things I’d like to do someday. You look beautiful in this dress, I had seen in on Jean, but the dress for you is great. The print is great and the design also. The most elegant woman in the restaurant, sure …

It’s so fun to have dinner at the Space Needle! I remember more about the view and the company, but by my recollection the food was pretty good, too.

You’re so right! The breath-taking view and people we eat with, stays vivid in our minds! I had a delicious vegan dinner and I took a picture of it, also took a picture of the dessert … so, that’s another reason I remember it so well. I’ll add those two photos!
