Exploring Central Park
Funny, we go to one of the biggest, bustling cities in the world to hang out in the parks! I guess that’s what I love: civilization, but never being too far from the wonder of God’s nature.
A city without a park would be like a desert without an oasis. Parks are therapeutic amidst the concrete and asphalt. While I stand back to admire the work of people who have designed and built these amazing structures in our cities, we need God’s creation to bring balance to our lives.
This was our last day in New York City and one more opportunity to explore Central Park. We meandered around with no particular place in mind but ended up in some beautiful gardens.
One of the best things about the park is because it’s so big, there are woods that look like you’re in a forest with nature trails, rocks and streams.
There are also gardens and fountains where you can enjoy the aesthetics of well-kept gardens with not a flower out of place.
Life is an adventure!
Linkup: VISIBLE MONDAY
Dear God, dear Carmen, with my trip to Greece, I forgot this post, what horror! A post in which you look absolutely wonderful with your white camisole and the set in black and white. I love the dress (I would love to see it without your capris underneath it), with perhaps some subtle garment that would avoid absolute transparency. The design of the sweater dress with the long leotard is a real treat, and so is the delicate fabric. The game of the look with the red touches is so yours, so beautiful, so Carmen … I love this look and you, always always, absolutely precious!

Very nice of you to take time to comment on posts you missed while you were in Greece. I’m happy for you that you could enjoy a vacation there, a place I would love to visit someday. Ever since I was 12 years old I dreamed of Greece. My favourite movie was The Moonspinners with Hayley Mills. It made a lasting impression on me. I have the DVD and have watched it many times. It takes place on the island of Crete.

I went to NY once, and I also went to Central Park. I did not see the beautiful gardens though. Sorry I missed that. Gorgeous outfit!

I lived in New York City for 8 years but didn’t spend as much time in the park as I should have.

How wonderful you actually got to live in NYC! Too bad you missed out not going to the park more often. Hopefully, you have a nice park where you live now. 🙂

Perhaps you’ll visit NYC someday and spend more time in the Central Park than when you lived there. That happens sometimes when we live in a city, we don’t get to see the sights as much as the tourists and visitors. 🙂

Yes exactly Carmen, you are right about the tourist part. I will revisit NYC (many more times I hope!) I got friends who still live there and love going back to the old haunts where so many memories were made. Have a happy Friday, Hugs, Terri xoxo.
