Pink Puffer Coat and Pink Puffer Jacket

We are still in the middle of winter here in Kincardine. The only way to change that is to move south. Next best thing is to keep warm with my new pink puffer coat.

While shopping this season in the little town of St. Jacobs (not far from where we used to live) a customer was wearing a pretty pink puffer coat. So I did what I often do, and asked her where she bought it.

First time ever, the answer was – right in the store that we were in! WOW!! What were the chances?! Thankfully, there was one left in my size.

No feathers in this coat: completely cruelty-free and totally warm! I love the shimmery shine and heart stitching.

Yes, those are snowflakes falling in March!

Do you see the hearts?

Beret, booties and teddy bear tote are thrifted

What’s in the bag? Dance shoes and things I need for my line dance class.

Beret: thrifted
Hemp scarf: Jean’s Eco Boutique
Puffer coat: The Weathered Gate, St. Jacobs
Leggings: COZY
Non leather booties: thrifted
Tote: Harrods via thrifted

SAVE THE DUCK

If I could only keep one winter jacket, it would be this pretty pink puffer jacket that I got in Seattle. My daughter Jean sold them in her eco boutique: weightlessness and fluffiness, so warm with wind protection, drys rapidly, two-way zipper and zip pockets, machine washable.

Best part–it’s 100% ANIMAL FREE Outwear – “We replaced goose down with state-of-the-art technology, PLUMTECH®: it is warmer, more breathable and lighter. We have a daily commitment: to improve the sustainability of our company in full respect of the animals, the environment in which they live and the people who live there.”

Doing GOOD feels GOOD!

Lake Huron in March, frozen waves and ice

Warm wishes!

I love your pink coat and the combination with the maroon accessories, the look is beautiful. The little pink jacket, without feathers, is also very cute and it goes perfectly with your jeans, you look cute.

Thank you very much! I like the combination of pink and maroon also! We don’t need feathers to keep warm, but the birds do! 🙂 These coats are warm enough for the cold Canadian winters.

I’m so glad the worst is over, we still have some cold days in April and sometimes even snow! ❄❄❄❄❄

  4. Hello Carmen! I am finally getting around to replying after seeing this post last week ! We are still in the middle of winter like you. It is supposed to warm up a bit this week, it is currently minus 2 C so heading in the right direction. That was amazing that the Lady had bought the coat in the same store you were both in ! I do see the hearts! It was made with love. I love all the thrifted items , the tote is cute. That is also a lovely jacket from Jean’s store , looks great on you. That is amazing seeing the frozen waves . It will be so pretty once spring/summer comes . Sending warm wishes back to you from Minnesota( if that s possible!) Terri xo.

What cute puffer pieces! I’m a big fan. And I love colorful outerwear- if you have to live in a coat during the colder months, why should it always be black or neutral? This pink is so pretty!

Thanks so much! I love how pink cheers me up, it’s my happy colour! Since winter drags on so long in Ontario, I have a colourful collection of winter coats, mostly pink and red to help me beat the winter blues. 🙂

I totally agree, it’s the hearts that I noticed immediately when I saw this coat on the customer in the store! I was so surprised that we were right in the store where she bought it recently. Many times when I ask someone where they got something, the answer is Italy or that they bought it last year etc. 😦
