TWO-PIECE DRESS: blue and white polka dots

I inherited a DVF two piece dress from my mom. Now I finally found a two-piece dress that I can wear for dancing! I’m wearing it to my first dance at the Kincardine Pavillion tomorrow.

The top has short flouncy sleeves. The skirt is a high low style (sides being high, front and back low) and a flouncy hem, makes it so pretty for twirling on the dance floor.

What I love about two-piece dresses is wearing them different ways.

The skirt worn with a white lace top and white denim jacket.

The top worn with white gaucho pants. I can wear it with white jeans or capris or a white skirt. As well as with blue jeans.

Two-pieces dresses are so versatile and I plan to take this one on our weekend getaway to Niagara Falls. It also came in a beautiful floral print so I’ll save that for a garden party.

I love your dress, the print is very delicate and the design is very pretty. I love the sleeves and also the bottom design, very original. The top you match the skirt with is gorgeous, very delicate and romantic, very suitable for you.

I’m so happy you like this dress and always appreciate your thoughts and opinions! It’s great for mixing and matching and I wore it this week with capri blue jeans. I will add a photo soon and hope you like it. I always smile when you call me the Queen of Capri! 🙂

How wonderful for so many reasons. One is the sentimental part of it, but I love how it’s so mixable too!! And lovely on your Carmen,

Thank you so much Jodie! I have 4 two-piece dresses now and my favourite will always be my mother’s dress for sentimental reasons. 🙂

  4. Hi Carmen ! I took a quick look back and remember the two piece you got from your Mom, so pretty on you. I am glad you have a dance hall right in Kincardine ! This 2 piece dress has lovely feminine features. I love the sleeves . I like the skirt is high on sides , a fun feature. It will really look great when you twirl. You have mixed and matched wonderfully. I love the lace top with the skirt. So happy you are getting a trip to Niagara falls ! We certainly can choose how we dance to the music ! Have a lovely Sunday, Terri xo.

The dance was wonderful: first time dancing in Kincardine and first time ballroom dancing with a live band – The Lighthouse Swing Band. Thanks so much for your kind comment! 🙂

      Have a great week!

Oh, I love this dress. It looks gorgeous on you and yes so versatile. Great to hear you are going to a dance. What fun. I have been visiting a garden and there was an “ABBA” tribute in the evening. It was wonderful and we danced along! Dancing on the grass was fun too! Enjoy your dance thoroughly, in your beautiful dress! I can imagine you twirling around in it! ♥♥♥

Thank you so much Ute! ABBA has great music for dancing! And dancing on the grass is fun too. I have danced on grass in parks many times with my dance group through the years. You can see me dancing on the beach in my new Instagram reel. 🙂
