Black and White Dolman T-shirts from Drizzle and Shine

When a package arrives from my daughter’s online eco-boutique, I’m all smiles and feel like a child on Christmas Eve (I’m German and we get to open our presents on Christmas Eve!)

Today I’ll show two tops I received. Both tops are the same Dolman style but I orderd one in black and one in white. They are soft and flowy–bamboo and cotton blend–made in USA.

I’ve styled my black one with pink: pants made in Italy and topped off with a pink hat (thrifted). Sandals are from Mark’s. (bought recently and still available here.)

I paired my white one with these blue and white deck pants for a fresh nautical look.

Deck pants are great for wading in the water!

I marvel at all God’s creations from delicate butterflies to a glorious sunset every evening. I’m sure sunrises are beautiful too but I have not seen hardly any in all these many years. I like to sleep in. 😉

Sleeping is one of my favourite activities, I do it every night and it gives me strength for the next day! It’s part of my beauty routine, they don’t call it beauty sleep for nothing. 😉

  2. Hi Carmen, I hope you are settling into fall . It must be nice to receive a package from your daughter . I do know about the Christmas eve present opening, I married into a part German family ! The black one looks lovely with the pink pants and hat ! The olive oil store looks cute on outside, I can only imagine what its like inside! The white one can be worn for a casual day at the beach as you did ! God’s creations are vast and mighty. Sunsets are so perfect to watch. I do get to see sunrises and they are truly so pretty to see too. I love your dress outside drizzle and shine ! Your years of beauty sleep have paid off!! You can now wake up early! Have a lovely day , Terri xo.

How lovely that you are familiar with the German tradition! The Olive Oil store is very nicely decorated with lots of great products. The black and pink outfit feels more elegant while the white top with deck pants has a more casual feel. Thank you so much for your comment! 🙂

This is Thanksgiving weekend in Canada and I thank God for creating a magnificent world with beauty all around us! It’s a wonderful life with a myriad of blessings! 🙂

What makes them deck pants?? I borrowed a couple of DD1’s bamboo dresses, so soft!

Bamboo fabric is super soft, right? And it’s very eco-friendly too!

Deck pants get their name from nautical attire, pants that can be rolled up (and sometimes have a tab like you see mine have) so the decks of ships can be washed without getting the pants wet or in my case, I can wade in the water without getting my pants wet. 🙂 Mine are seersucker and have folded cuffs to make them shorter than long pants.

We called these deck pants in the ’60s, some people called them pedal pushers because pants won’t get caught in the spokes when riding a bicycle. Capris back then were usually slimmer fitting. Capris, cropped pants, 3/4 pants–all variations of a related style of various lengths and shapes.

Thanks so much! The quality is superb, and that’s very important when I buy clothes. They need to last and not end up in a landfill.

They are very nice shirts and they look very soft. With the capri in pink tones and your beautiful hat the look is perfect. The white one, in the most casual look, is also very bin and your turquoise necklace gives it the necessary touch of style. The white color, so yours, also highlights your wonderful beauty.

It was always a pleasure seeing you blog , wearing black and white separately still so very beautiful, one thing good is that one can mix and match with any colour and still looks good. Wonderful that you can make wearing causal clothing look so elegant and beautiful!
