For a weekend getaway, I wore this pink cotton T-shirt with palm trees; it was a gift from my dear friend Elisabeth when I was in Germany in 2015.
Shopping is always on the agenda, after all, I love helping the economy and especially small businesses. As soon as I walked into Madison Clothing Boutique in the town of Collingwood, I noticed these cute pink pants made in Italy.

Walking into the store I wore black capris and walking out I wore my new purchase (which I sometimes do, buy it and wear it) especially since they matched my top so perfectly.

Next stop was Blue Mountain Village where Madison Clothing Boutique has another shop and I bought a pair of floral joggers (also made in Italy). The shoulder bag came in a few colours, of course, I chose PINK!
On our drive home we stopped for a stroll around the charming town of Elora and enjoyed a refreshing, pink, raspberry sorbet–matched my outfit.

After a fun weekend getaway,
there’s no place like home!

Oh, I know I had missed this beautiful look in pink, that color that was created for you. I love the prints and the tinted shade of pink, so soft, so delicate. You look really beautiful in the photos, your hair is more beautiful every day.

You are so kind with your comments and always brings a smile to my day! You know how much I love pink because it was my mother’s favourite colour. It make me happy to think of her and the inspiration she is to me. August is her birthday month. 🙂

That is such a cute palm tree t shirt Carmen!! It is so nice to remember where we got our clothing from, and especially when its a gift! It is amazing how well the pants go with the t shirt. The shop must have been calling your name to come in and make the match! It is nice to walk out of the store with a brand new purchase on. The bag is so pretty with your outfit . And the pink raspberry sorbet must have went so well with everything! Happy Wednesday to you Carmen, Terri xo.

Thank you so much Terri! Most of my clothes have a story and therefore happy memories woven or knit through their fibres. 🙂 You’re quite right, this shop was calling my name! 🙂 I’m glad I was wearing this top because the pants came in different colours and prints; if I hadn’t been wearing this top, I might have chosen another colour not knowing how perfectly this top matches. The saleslady and even a couple of customers commented about how they match so well.
Happy August!

I love how you wore the pants you just bought Carmen. They were perfect with the top, and almost looked like a set.
I did that once when we were going to a restaurant…we stopped to shop first, and I found a better skirt to wear that evening, LOL

Thanks so much Jodie! It does look like a set. Guess I’m not the only one who buys something and wears it right away. 🙂

Thanks so much Ute! I do that sometimes: try it on, like it, buy it, wear it. But these pants matched so well that I just wanted to wear them right away. 🙂
Happy August!
