Floral Camouflage

I just had to go back before these marvelous magnolias are gone with the wind. I am so fond of blossoming trees and if I had my choice, they would last for the entire spring season.

My dream has been to see the cherry blossoms in Paris someday. We had planned it for our 50th Anniversary last year … alas! … not all dreams come true. Yet, I will continue to dream for some dreams do come true.

My theme has been florals this spring, I wore this floral top with red pants recently and now it looks ready for summer paired with white skinny jeans. I wear them more often than I wear blue jeans.

These pink booties were bought in the last century on one of our many shopping excursions in the USA to outlet malls. Those were the days!

Too much of a good thing …

    I really like the floral print on your blouse. The large flowers blend into the wonderful background of your photos. And what about your white pants? The color white is you, you are the maximum exponent of white, also pink, red … you are the color, you are the light, you are the beauty!

    Hi Carmen, it is a pity the magnolia’s don’t last longer! I would love them to also. You blend in beautifully with the cute floral top and white jeans.       Thank you Jodie! Time will tell if we ever make it to Paris. In the meantime, I’m enjoying the blossoms of Ontario. The lilacs will soon be appearing! 💜

    You’re right on spot about your floral top making a summer transformation when paired with white jeans. Now it’s a multi functional piece that can be worn year round. Your gorgeous pink booties are another inspired update for a warmer weather look, and I feel pink flower handbag steals the show! If I remember correctly you have the same design in red, which is equally eye catching. You have some of the most beautiful accessories I’ve ever seen.

    I mainly wear white skinny jeans in the summer months as well. I rarely find myself in blue jeans unless we’re hiking or doing something else outdoorsy where sitting on rocks, earth, or wading through streams is involved.

    I want to thank you for helping me solve my handbag dilemma. I’m happy I waited try out the Antigona in the boutique. The zipper was a huge issue. I’m a carbon copy of my Irish mom, so I have the fairest complexion I’ve come across in my life as well as sensitive skin. The heavy duty zipper and way in which the bag opens left red scratches all over my hands. Needless to say I didn’t buy it. I started thinking about slow fashion and decided to check out Fashionphile. I purchased a burgundy Chanel flap bag in new/giftable condition, saved money—and voila—slow fashion that matches my burgundy boots!

It make sense to get more wear out of our clothes by looking for ways to style them through the seasons, doesn’t it? I will wear this top with capris and sandals once the weather warms up.

      We both love our white jeans, such a great summer look! But like you, blue jeans are necessary for those times we need to wear something for rugged adventures.

      Yes, you’re right, I have these little flower purses in different colours and they are perfect for a cell phone and keys (and a credit card!). Accessories are fashionable and fun!

      Happy to hear you got a burgundy bag and that’ll look great with your burgundy boots. The heavy duty zipper problem is exactly why I like to shop in person. I’m so happy you’re on the SLOW FASHION bandwagon! You’ll save money and with the money saved, buy quality clothes/ items that last.

      I also have sensitive skin, that’s why comfort is so important for me. No wool ever, too itchy. This top is silky soft and I like organic cotton and bamboo.
