Peplum and a Pencil Skirt

When I started blogging nine years ago, my second post was about my dear mother. She had a profound influence on me. I am truly blessed to be her daughter!

My love for peplum started when I was a child, my mother wore peplum and she looked so elegant. When I wear peplum I feel elegant, especially with a pencil skirt, lace stockings and heels. This look reminds me of my mom and when I look at these photos, I see my mom. These black lace stockings belonged to her.

This organic cotton skirt is from my daughter’s eco-boutique Drizzle & Shine, made in USA by Blue Canoe.(eco-fashion).

Another SLOW FASHION outfit

Peplum top: Vera Moda (thrifted)
Pencil skirt: Blue Canoe (Made in USA)
Lace stockings: my mom’s from the 1960’s
shoes: Maggie’s clothing exchange

In memory of my mom❤️August 1926 – November 2001

I don’t understand where my comment went! I put a comment on the beauty and elegance of your look, your clothes and your mother. I feel sad because it has disappeared, because I know perfectly how important the annual post about the elegance and style of your mother has for you.

Thank you with all my heart! I checked the spam folder and there was nothing there, I don’t know what happened to your original comment. However, I am grateful you took the time to write another one! Your kind words made my day! My mom was the epitome of elegance and I miss her very much! I have a few of her clothes, jewelry, some belts, scarves and stockings. I always feel so happy when I wear something that belonged to her. 🙂

Beautiful Carmen. Your mum was also a very elegant lady. She would love to see you still wearing her stockings. Your mum was born in the same year as mine. My mum always looked lovely when the went out dancing. I remember well the time when nails were painted, the bathroom was out of bounds for us….. I enjoyed that time so much, being proud of my parents how gorgeous they looked. I usually helped my dad choose the right hanky for the night. I have no his hankies. Oh the lovely memories. I miss them so much. You do too, I know. Big hugs ♥♥♥
