A mini-vacay to enjoy another trip to the beach. Just what the doctor ordered: Vitamin Sea, sure makes me feel better during these times, an instant pick-me-up that lasts for days!
I wore this off-the-shoulder cotton knit top–blue and white looks beachy, cool and it’s comfortable. I saw it in a window display and it reminded me of a T-shirt that I tie-dyed myself in the ’60s except this one is more stylish and feminine. I love the off-the-shoulder style and that it’s long enough to wear with legging capris.
Have you heard the rule that if you wore it the first time it was in style, you shouldn’t wear it again? Well, I don’t believe that. In fact, that’s often what draws me to something, perhaps it’s nostalgia. Besides, I think tie-dye is timeless, don’t you?

How beautiful, the sunset and you! I used to do some tie dye when I was in school, was quite fun. I think they can always be worn. You are so right even a very short trip to somewhere else recharges the batteries. A bit of ‘Tapeten wechsel’ is always good. It feels just great to get out a bit, even if it is not far. Oh yes, a little getaway certainly recharges the batteries! And we have been recharging quite a bit this summer. We haven’t ventured more than two hours from home and only stay overnight for one or two nights. Mostly day trips where we come home in the evening, which I prefer because I love sleeping in my own bed at night. 🙂

That’s me: nostalgic and sentimental to a fault. I have always been that way, as a child I remember collecting little tangible things to remind me of special times. I have kept every card and letter and some things that most people throw away. It makes me happy when I look at them and brings back a flood of happy memories! My children will have a lot of junk to deal with, but they are treasures to me. 🙂
