It’s no secret that I enjoy shopping. I love supporting small businesses and ethical companies. I love helping the economy. What good is living without a livelihood? People need jobs, it’s an urgent matter.
No surprise, I went shopping on the first day some stores opened. With tears of joy, I bought several things at a thrift shop. Including this asymmetrical grey and pink skirt and some household items.
It felt so good to walk through the doors of one of my favourite Canadian stores (The Hudson’s Bay Company, Canada’s oldest store) I bought this pretty black and white polka dot shrug. I plan to wear it at our next Ladies’ Luncheon.
My shopping outfit is all things I’ve shown before.
Dress: Armour Vert, USA from Drizzle and Shine
Long cardigan: Made in Canada via thrifted
Tassel necklace: Boutique in Collingwood
Leggings: Suzy Shier
Non-leather sandals: Marshalls
I agree about shopping being my form of therapy. It gets me so excited!! I love the polka dots…I’ve been on a polka dot kick lately!!

Great finds! I still have not gone shopping for clothes. I just don’t see the point if we can never go anywhere anymore. I shop for groceries, and I have visited nurseries and garden centers, but that’s it. I did buy two pairs of new sneakers on line. My focus has gone from buying things to look fashionable to buying more practical things.

“Never go anywhere anymore.”? Oh my! I’m sure that will not be the case. I’ve already been having get-togethers with my friends. We also had a ladies’ luncheon on the patio of a nice restaurant. I am hoping the economy will get back on track; it’s sad that so many businesses are gone for good. I want to do my part to help small businesses.
I’m looking forward to going to church, picnics, garden parties and day trips around southern Ontario. 🙂 I’m glad you’re enjoying nurseries and garden centers, we need to go to buy some plants and flowers for our garden. 🙂
Happy Sunday!

Awww yes, summer has arrived here too, with pleasant days and some cool days. With a dressing room full of lovely clothes and things, I probably wouldn’t have to shop for the rest of my life, but it is one of my hobbies and I truly think it’s important for the economy. I have friends working in the retail business, as well as my daughter who owns an eco-boutique and hires employees. Small businesses are an integral part of our country. 🙂
Enjoy the summer!

Hahaha did you come up with that slogan, Carmen? Shopping being cheaper than therapy? I love it hahahah… — Amor

To make a long story short … I had a friend many years ago who spent thousands of dollars on therapy. So I said to my husband, “I would rather go shopping and it’s like therapy but doesn’t cost as much. 🙂 He agreed. I have also justified my shopping habits by explaining to him that I want to help the economy (which is really true) and he replied that I don’t need to help the economy all by myself. Haha! 🙂
Thanks for stopping by!

Thank you very much for your answer in my language in the previous post, you are so kind! I love your asymmetric skirt, it is beautiful, I want to see it on you. The jacket is also cute, with those polka dots that you like so much. I really like your shopping look, the dress is very beautiful and I love your leggings, as well as your sandals, always so yours. In the photo sitting on the armchair your eyes look like two precious jewels, you look so beautiful!
