We are excited to announce the birth of our third grandchild!
Having a grandbaby is a lot easier than having a baby! No morning sickness, no labour pain and I didn’t gain a single pound! But I did gain a beautiful, healthy, 9 lb 10 oz grandson!
Gone are the days when a mom could rest in the hospital for a week (when I had my three children) my daughter-in-law came home the same day the baby was born! These photos were taken a week ago on the day of his birth.
I wore my ArmedAngels Polkadot top from Drizzle & Shine (my daughter’s eco-boutique in Seattle). ArmedAngels make sustainable fashion with the highest respect for humans and nature.
Polkadots with checked pants–a little pattern mixing, something our mothers’ generation taught us not to do. I started mixing patterns a few years ago, inspired by my daughter Jean. Monochromatic is my favourite.

Thanks so much Angie! You are very observant to notice the tiny stars on his blanket. In the last two photos, he is wearing the outfit that their Aunt Jean (my daughter) gave to my first grandchild and all three of them wore it as their coming home outfit.

Congratulations again Carmen ! He is gorgeous , and looks so comfy in his Grandma’s arms. There are benefits of being the Grandma and not the Mom. It is amazing how fast they get you out of there after the baby is born these days . His brother and Sister will be occupied with their new brother . The outfit is very cute! I have fun experimenting with pattern-mixing, black and white make it easy and stylish. I don’t want to look like I got dressed in the dark!

These are one of my favourite pants at the moment: comfortable and they go with many different tops.

Thanks very much Nanette! We sure do love him! Here’s a photo of my oldest grandson when his sister was born 10 years ago. Notice the same sleeper? All three wore it coming home from the hospital, it was a gift from their aunt (my daughter).
