We woke up to a blanket of snow this morning.
Wouldn’t you know it, just after I wrote about sunny in Seattle in my last post, it is now snowy in Seattle! Many flights were cancelled and delayed today. Schools are closed and so is Jean’s eco boutique
I’m so glad I bought this Save The Duck jacket (sustainable and cruelty-free) It’s a good time to test it on this cold day in February. I feel warm and cozy, it’s super soft and lightweight. I love the zippered pockets and hood. This shade of misty rose is so pretty.
Jean is wearing a Save The Duck coat in a lovely shade of champagne, a new red cotton toque made in USA and her first time wearing these winter boots made for trekking in blizzards!
Awesome weather

Thanks so much! I didn’t have any pink sunglasses, so I’m glad I found these in a drug store in Seattle. It was the only thing I forgot to pack. 😎

Did it also snow in Snohomish City? 😀

Ha ha! YES! 😉
“The snow brought much of the county to a halt. All colleges and school districts in Snohomish County were closed … While some urban streets and roads were cleared of Monday’s unusually deep snow, overnight cold temperatures prevented thawing going into Tuesday. Driving was hazardous and many streets were icy.”

I appreciate jackets and coats with zippered pockets……you can put items(s) in a pocket, zip it up, and the item is still there when you unzip. 🙂
Safe journey home.

God has a sense of humour Carmen! He wanted you to see what you are missing and give Jean a taste of reliving old memories growing up with snowy winter. Your save the duck jacket really came into use! I love Jean’s also along with the toque and cute winter boots. Lovely close up of her , I can see where she got her good looks from ! Six more weeks until spring sounds better , we have to use that word and it will come faster! Check out Natalie from Australia in her cute lace dress! https://wordpress.com/read/feeds/34315887/posts/2158835124 Have a great week ahead for the rest of your time in Seattle, hugs, Terri xo.

Indeed, He does! Getting away from the bitter-cold winters was one of the reasons Jean moved to Seattle. She doesn’t mind snow for a day or two, but not months on end. 😦 Thank you for the lovely compliments! I think she’s beautiful too, but I am biased. 🙂

Is it in Canada you complain about snow? it’s probably a typical phenomenon

Although the images of snow are beautiful, especially for someone who lives in a temperate climate, I understand that it was not what you expected, but the presence and company of your daughter is sure to make you happy, despite the snow. Jean is beautiful in the photos, every day is more like you. And, of course, you look beautiful in the snow. I love that pink jacket and your matching sunglasses. Those pink shades blend beautifully with your delicate skin.

Thank you so much for the lovely compliment! Freshly fallen snow does look beautiful, but I still prefer a sandy beach! 🙂 I’m happy that I found pink sunglasses in Seattle to match my jacket. 🙂

Wow, I’ve never seen so much snow in my life. Here in Sydney we are in the middle of very hot summer and barely wear any clothes at ll. Having said that the puffy coats are extremely popular here in winter times and I like the colour of yours, Carment

Thank you Anna! A hot summer day sounds good to me. I always say, hot weather can be uncomfortable, but bitter cold weather is painful. Stay cool!

Hi, Carmen
Well, it’s just the opposite here in Detroit: After suffering through Arctic weather with highs of 3 degrees F and wind chills down to 45 below zero, the temperature suddenly went up 30 degrees in one day and we now have a low of 50 degrees tonight! The nation is topsy turvy! Lol.

Yes indeed! The weather has switched, I’m hearing the same report from family and friends back home in Ontario. Hopefully, it stays milder for when we return, that would be great! Could this mean an early spring? 🙂 Enjoy!
