What are you doing New Year’s Eve?

I bought this skirt for New Year’s Eve a few years ago. Since then it has become part of my New Year’s Eve outfit. I wear it with a different top every year which gives it another look. I’ll be wearing it to a Ceili-Style New Year’s dance with this sheer top with fancy floral appliqué.

My new sparkly ballroom shoes arrived just in time for this special occasion. Previously, I’ve worn my strappy stilettos.

New Year’s Eve Past

Long silky black gloves for an elegant look.

This shrug with 3/4 length sleeves has a ruffled hem.

Happy New Year!

God bless everyone!

The best is yet to come!

You look beautiful , I can understand that you wear that skirt always, I love it. It looks great with all different tops and every year you still look different. Wishing you a wonderful and healthy and happy new year. What fun with that dance, looks so enjoyable! I spent a very quiet time with my mum in Germany. It is lovely when life calms down before it starts with the normal routine next week. Ute ♥

How wonderful and elegant with your lace skirt, it’s beautiful! You always look fantastic with this skirt. I love this lace top and transparencies with embroidered flowers, it is very elegant and very seductive. It’s a perfect outfit for you, for your beauty! The other versions of the look were also beautiful, but this top of this year is great. I really like the hair collected in a bun, from previous years, but seeing your hair free and moving has nothing to compare with anything.

Thanks so much for your compliments! I liked this version too. The long sheer sleeves are so elegant and I love the floral design. Long, silky gloves remind me of Audrey Hepburn but can only be worn with sleeveless or strapless outfits. I have more tops that will go with this timeless skirt, so I’m ready for many more New Year’s Eve dances – lol – but I think this will be my favourite.

      Próspero año nuevo de felicidad!

  4. You look very cute in your new years outfit Carmen! Such a fun skirt to wear for NYE and then change the top every year. I like the sheer top and the floral applique, it is nice to show floral at this time of year , a yearning for spring! All the tops you paired with the skirt look amazing on you. I like the faux fur coat too looks, so cosy. I hope you had fun at the ceili. We stayed home and had friends over along with their 2 Girls , we had a few drinks and played board games, a great night! Happy new year , I appreciate your support during the past year and blessings to you in 2019, hugs, Terri xo.

Thank you so much Terri, I appreciate your detailed review! The neat thing is that this skirt was the last one in the store and it was on a mannequin who happened to be my size. I was pleased that it was on sale, otherwise I could not have afforded it. The floral appliqué adds a nice pop of colour (I love flowers in winter) and I am also yearning for spring! The good thing is that we are going to visit our daughter in Seattle, the weather is milder than Ontario. 🙂

The Ceili was a blast! I teach and lead some Irish, Scottish as well as other fun dances. I’m glad we are blogging friends! 🙂
