The Years Keep Rolling By

Another year has come and gone since I started blogging. That makes 7 years of writing a public memoir about fashion and my lifestyle. Those who have followed me know that I am interested in more than just pretty clothes.

My compassion for animals, my concerns for our environment, promoting ethical fashion and a healthy lifestyle is what has kept me motivated to write. I’ve enjoyed meeting interesting people from around the world that I would otherwise not have met and who are now friends.

I promote Slow Fashion: organic, fair trade and cruelty-free.

I initially signed up with WordPress in January 2011 so that I could comment on my daughter’s fashion blog. I had toyed with the idea of starting my own blog because I have a passion for fashion and thought it would be a fun hobby.

I always wanted to write a book, so I wrote this blog instead. Guess you might say I have writer’s blog 😉  It feels like I’m adding a chapter every week and one day I will write the last chapter. Till then, I’ll keep writing and sharing my thoughts, hoping to inspire women at any age to be our best.

Staying young is a state of mind. Although we may show a few wrinkles and gray hairs as the years go by, we can stay young at heart. That person in the mirror is still the same, hopefully a little wiser and more confident, but essentially you are still you!

We can make the world a better place with compassion.

Lots of love and warm hugs!

What makes this blog so successful is that your accentuate the positive. Many spotlight why we shouldn’t do this or that, or when they do talk about why we should do this or that, it’s with a heavy hand of gloom. You my dear sparkle! There’s a vibrancy that comes through your articles and inspires your audience to add that dimension to their journey on this planet. A life that embraces cruelty free products and/or a whole food plant based diet is a work of art not a chore, and you bring that to life. Congratulations and thanks!

Thank you so much dear Maccabros, but I doubt very much I will be blogging for another 7 years! I think my “book” is almost finished. For one thing, I only have 12% space left on WordPress, that’s like running out of paper, soon there will be no more space left 😉 However, I have very much enjoyed writing and reading other blogs. You are very kind and I do appreciate it!

      Blessings!

Already seven years ago? How much time I enjoy your blog, your personality and your beauty. I am very happy to have discovered an exceptional woman, my Queen of Capri. Many times I have commented here how important your blog is in my life, for its love for fashion but also and specifically for the passion for life, for the natural and healthy life, for a better world. Gray hair, wrinkles … what is all this when you live with your joy and inner strength? Thanks, Carmen, for everything …

My dear Josep-Maria! How do I thank a wonderful friend who has been with me from almost the beginning of blogging and is so supportive all through these years!? Your comments mean to much to me, not only because you are a fashion specialist, but because we share the same concerns about the fashion industry: we care about the garment workers, ethical fashion, the environment and not harming animals. It’s a beautiful world and we need to take care of it. 🙂

      Blessings of health and happiness!

So glad to have met you dear Valerie! I think of fashion like the beauty when God created flowers, each one lovely and unique! We are like flowers that grow in God’s garden! Of course, our adornment must not be external ONLY, love and kindness is most important. 🌺🌻🌹🌷🌼🌸🌺🌻

      Blessings!
