Dreaming of Christmas

If there’s one thing I love about this season, it’s Christmas! Candles glowing, carols echoing through our home, festive decorations, watching Christmas movies and drinking hot apple cider. Getting ready for family and friends gathering, all brings back happy memories of Christmases past and looking forward to this one.

Part of the festivities and preparation is going to see Christmas lights and shopping at Christmas markets. We have been to three and plan to go to three more. Fair November is an annual craft show we go to, where artisans display their creations at the University of Guelph, Ontario. I wore my faux suede skirt (I have three in different colours: black, brown and this one).

I love purses that are more than functional, and add “accents” to an outfit and puts the FUN in functional. This vegan purse with fringes is made by Jeanne and Jax and bought at Drizzle & Shine. Those who follow my blog have seen it numerous times because it’s my favourite go-to purse.

We always enjoy lunch or dinner in the cafeteria with lots of vegan and vegetarian options; we had vegan pizza, vegan barley salad, couscous with grilled vegetables and curried squash and potatoes. It’s very heart-warming because it shows that many students are choosing vegan meals whether for health, the environment or compassion.

  2. Christmas is a wonderful time Carmen, we celebrate the birth of the savior of the world Jesus Christ! It holds many memories of Christmases past and growing up as a child . I think the bazaars are a great idea and must be fun to attend. Your outfit is gorgeous! That skirt is amazing I love the faux suede skirt with the booties and tights. Your top and infinity scarf along with the beret give you a very ladylike look that is sadly missing in a lot of Women today. You might help to inspire some! Such cute items at the craft fairs. Have a lovely day my Friend, Terri xo.

Thank you so much my dear friend! I appreciate your detailed fashion review! You don’t miss a thing, WOW! The infinity scarf was purchased at a Christmas show a few years ago, handmade by one of the vendors. My black top would look rather dull without it. I’ve never worn it with this skirt before and it matches perfectly.

I’m glad you celebrate the true meaning of Christmas, after all, what would a celebration be without the Guest of Honour! 🙂

O, come let us adore Him!

I do love a good fair with handmade crafts, beautiful things there. I also make lots and I get ideas from fairs. We have one soon coming up in our town hall , where I want to go after work. Supporting local businesses is important for me too and try to keep it local! Yes you look a bit French here and beautiful colour coordinated. ♥

Thanks so much Ute! We went to another Christmas Bazaar at a German club yesterday. I am so impressed with all the talent and creativity that people have. I’m glad you support local businesses too! I know you are very gifted in making things, and fairs are great for getting ideas. I used to make crafts and crochet etc. but for many years I simply don’t get around to it and have some unfinished projects. 😦

What a beautiful skirt you wear, dear Carmen! I love the color and the original design with this asymmetrical draping. The look of Frenchified air is always perfect for you. Beautiful animal print complements and that permanent smile on your face that makes everyone wonderful!

It’s so nice that support the small business this way.
We are going out shopping today for that very reason to a small downtown area by us. It’s where I used to have my dental practice, and we love to help out these family owned and little shops!!
And then on Monday, we are going to the ChristKindl market downtown Denver …..tis the season!!

Yes, Indeed! Jesus is the reason for the season! 🎄
I feel a little Parisian when I wear a beret (I have a collection of them in different colours, I wore my red one in my last post). It was perfect for the Eiffel Tower in the window. 🙂

      Joy to the world! 🙂
