Flowers are Forever

We don’t have to venture far to enjoy the beauty of nature and visit charming towns in Southern Ontario. Stratford is one of those places we love to go on a road trip.

This poncho with floral embroidery is a lovely autumnal look and perfect for a walk by the Avon River where beautiful swans are swimming and preening their feathers on the river bank.

A stroll through town.

That’s my son photo bombing …

My pants are faux leather and faux suede. They are super comfortable.

Florals will never go out of style, just as flowers will always be a beautiful part of our gardens and meadows. What we borrow from nature stays in style, because it’s timeless. Old as the hills, it has stood the test of time.

Floral prints will never be passé.

I agree, I always love floral things too. We have our Stratford and on the Avon too…..well Shakespeare’s place really. You have so many familiar names there. It is always so lovely and Canada seems to be a very clean country. Love that Poncho. ♥

Our Stratford gets it’s name from your Stratford-upon-Avon! (including the river). 🙂 We have so much British and German heritage. Stratford, Ontario is famous for Shakespeare plays and other theatre productions. This area was settled by English, Irish, Scottish and German immigrants, in almost equal numbers. My city was once called Berlin because hard-working Germans settled this area. 🙂 Someday I’ll show you New Hamberg, but you will laugh, it’s a little town, nothing like the original in Germany! 🙂

I’ll always love florals as I know you will too!

I’m glad you like it! We have so much British influence in Southern Ontario. This town is named after Stratford-upon-Avon, England–so they named the river Avon too. 🙂 The area was settled by Irish, English, Scottish and German immigrants, in almost equal numbers. Someday I’ll take you to Fergus, a little Scottish town. Thanks so much for your visit!

The poncho is wonderful, it has a lovely print and a very original design. The faux suede pants are very beautiful and fit your wonderful legs in a fantastic way. I love the detail of lace on the neckline of your shirt, it is the romantic and sensual touch of your look. How beautiful is Ontario, a dream paradise for me, its cities, its people, its landscapes … and you! I love your necklace, your smile and your beautiful hair in the wind.

Thank you so much for a lovely comment! I bought the necklace in Germany at a fair-trade store where they sell handmade items from poor countries, so that the workers can get a fair wage. It is made from tagua nuts from Ecuador rainforests known as vegetable ivory. It is good to support these hard-working people, many of them are women in desperate situations. Plus, I love that it’s “vegetable IVORY” it can be carved to look like ivory and no elephants need to be harmed. Tagua nuts are eco-friendly and I have several bracelets made from these amazing nuts.

I know you would love Southern Ontario, however, you would not love the cold, right? Be glad you live in Catalonia, a place I can only dream of visiting someday! 🙂

It’s amazing how many times we think alike! I have another floral outfit coming up. We’ve had some lovely days (as well as rainy cool days). The weather changes as often as I change my clothes. 🙂
