What I wore to VegFest

We took a little day trip to Guelph, Ontario to VegFest on a pleasant autumn day. It was an outdoor event held at Riverside Park. It’s always more fun to go with friends and family to share the tasty experience.

We bought soup mixes form Soup Girl to make at home: great for autumn, fills the house with delicious aroma and is comfort food on chilly days. You can order online here.

Besides delicious food, there are many vendors like WULLY Outerwear, an ethical Canadian company who make warm winter jackets and vests. Luanne tried on this stylish blue jacket.

We’ve been to six VegFests and always enjoy the atmosphere. Some happy memories of the Hamilton VegFest.

It’s Thanksgiving weekend in Canada

Since thanksgiving is about being thankful for family, friends, food and health, I decided this post is just right. There’s so much to be thankful for and I am thankful for the abundance of heathy food the Good Lord has blessed us with, without causing suffering to our animal friends.

I love this jersey, it’s cute. The detail on the neckline is beautiful. I love the delicacy of the combination of soft colors. I also love your black and white checkered shirt, it’s very pretty. I love your healthy way of life and also this wonderful relationship with your family and your friends, is from afar, the embodiment of happy life.

Thank you so much! Health is a great benefit, but you know my love for animals and how it breaks my heart to know the cruelty that goes on in factory farming. It’s sad that so many people only care about dogs and cats but don’t care about lambs, pigs, chickens and cows. I have seen this cruelty with my owns eyes. There is hope as more and more people have compassion and want to make a difference. 🙂

      With compassion,

Glad you like them Ute! I just love that mama with her littles chicks under her wings! The humour one makes a good point! We had a turkey once, his name was Titan and he was a gentle bird, loved hanging out with our rescued roosters and hens. They are not stupid at all like some people say. We had a delicious vegan Thanksgiving dinner with family today. 🙂

      Blessings!

Turkey mommy and babies are so precious!
1 question- I don’t understand how you saved so much grain? You eat grain, right?

God created mamas to love and nurture their babies! ❤
The grain saved is what it takes to feed the animals. We can feed a lot of people with that grain and no one would go hungry. Most of the world's grain is fed to animals that people slaughter to eat. Like-wise it takes a lot of water: water for the animals to drink, water to grow grain and water to clean the stalls. This is not a good way to feed the world when God has given us an abundance of healthy, nutritious food to grow. "EVER SINGLE SECOND, over 3000 farmed land animals are sent to their deaths by the animal farming industry!"

I prefer God's original plan – Genesis 1:29 🙂 He designed our bodies, we are fearfully and wonderfully made!

      Blessings of health and compassion!

  10. Hi, Carmen – VegFest is a great topic! I love the turkeys’ thanksgiving comments. Lol! The gray is a perfect way to add a touch of the cool fall feeling to your white for the warm days at the beginning of autumn. 🙂 Thanks, Angie – http://www.yourtrueselfblog.com

So glad you like my topic and the cute turkeys’ comments! 🙂
I appreciate your kind words. Gray is one of my favourite neutrals and what makes this top special is the pretty lace insert.

      Harvest blessings!
