Turquoise and White for the Beach

It rained the last time we went to the lake earlier this month, so we decided to go again on a sunny day. Turquoise and white is cool for the beach. I wore my daisy sunglasses that I found at a thrift shop recently!

Wiggins wanted to go to the beach and wore his little red and white striped bathing suit. Wiggins was born in Germany in the Steiff factory. He travelled to Florida where he became famous and was featured in a Teddy Bear magazine. Then he was off to Seattle to spend some time with Jean before immigrating to Canada. Now he lives with me.

An elderly gentleman on the beach asked if he was Paddington. Wiggins was flattered because Paddington is one of his favourite movie stars, a real celebrity in bear circles.

Here’s Dempster sunbathing on his favourite ladybug beach towel. He was too shy to go bear naked and he doesn’t have a bathing suit. However, he did enjoy soaking up some sunshine and didn’t forget his sunscreen. Dempster is Canadian, born right here in Ontario in the workshop of Lorraine Chien, teddy bear artist. Her creations are lovable and I have been to her home several times to adopt new bears.

Both bears are excited to be in my blog and are hoping for some likes and nice comments. 🙂

Walking along the beach at sunset is refreshing for the soul and rejuvenating for the body!

    Hi Carmen, that is such a lovely combo of turquoise top white pants and the matching sandals! I like the floral embellishment on the top . The glasses look so good on you and the bracelet goes so nice with everything. Aww these bears are so cute!! Wiggins looks so handsome in his swimsuit! Dempster seems happy to lay in the sun with his cool sunglasses , I am glad he put sunscreen on. I love his outfit and bow. Have a nice day, hugs, Terri xo.

      Thank you so much Terri! I was happy to find these turquoise sandals a few summers ago because I have several turquoise tops to match. They are actually Crocs–can you believe it? They are very comfortable and since they are non leather, they’re perfect for the beach.

    WOW ! Another lovely post , turquoise is one of my favourite colour , matching with the same colour sandals is just perfect , and you always found the best background for your pictures ! I just can’t imagine you actually brought your bears with you , so cute and lovely !

      Thanks so much Maggie! Our tastes are very similar, I always admire your impeccable style! My bears are actually much easier to take to the beach than children. They are very well behaved and no trouble at all. 🐻🐻

    How exciting Carmen, Danny is completely in awe seeing your teddies. As he is a travelling bear, he loves it hat others are going places too. He tells me that it is so good to see that sun screen was with you. We specially love the picture of Wiggins in his chair relaxing and sunbathing. As we can see he got a lovely tan! Danny is still telling his friends from his travels, they sit together all day! So great they came out with you. You look lovely too by the way. 🙂 the teddies though are in the limelight, hehe.       I knew if I let them come to the beach, they would get all the attention and having them appear in my blog would upstage me, but that’s ok, I don’t mind. I’m happy that people (and bears) can enjoy their adventure. 🙂 Danny has had several opportunities to travel and be in your blog. My bears would welcome him to visit us when you come.     Turquoise and Carmen, Blanco and Carmen … Two colors that I will always associate with your style and your personality. And what a beautiful turquoise shirt! It is beautiful because of the color, but also because of the design, with these beautiful filigrees on the chest. And your beautiful turquoise sandals, always perfect in all the looks used. Turquoise, white and turquoise is such a sweet and delicate combination! And what can I say about your wonderful glasses and your daisy hat?
