A Tale of Two Cities

I borrowed Charles Dickens’ famous title with the same cities:

Paris and London.

Lunch in Paris; Dinner in London

Living in Southern Ontario means you can have lunch in Paris and dinner in London because these cities are an hour’s drive apart, less than 100 km.

We went to the Gem and Mineral Show in Paris, and to the Doll and Teddy Bear Show in London all in one weekend.

My recent posts have featured colourful outfits, this time I decided to wear my gray plaid kilt (Le Chateau) and gray jacket (Spanner), an outfit I’ve worn before when I was a guest blogger on my daughter’s fashion and lifestyle blog. It’s supposed to be spring, but it feels like a very cold autumn day.

Paris Gem and Mineral Show

London Doll and Teddy Bear Show

It was the best of times, it was the best of times. Both shows were fantastic!

Day trippin’ in Southern Ontario is always an adventure and these two shows are sure to please collectors.

What do you collect? Do you have a favourite hobby?

Thanks so much Jess! I only curl my hair occasionally, but always seem to get compliments when I do, perhaps I should use my curling iron more often. I have some Boyd’s Bears too in my collection, they make me smile. There’s always room for a teddy! 🙂

How beautiful your look, it reminds me a lot of your first photo on the blog, on the stairs of the house with a beautiful skirt. I love this color tone, gray, and I love your top lingerie, which adds sophistication and seduction to the outfit. How good is your cap, although with this beautiful hairstyle I prefer to see you without her, so I can admire all the beauty of your wonderful hair. Two magnificent exhibitions, I suppose you had a great time in both cities, especially when you see your granddaughter with you.

Thank you so much! Even though I wear colourful outfits, I still love neutrals, like gray, and of course, I’ll be wearing my summer clothes in white soon. 🙂

Both my grandchildren enjoyed the gem show and collect them. My youngest son came with us too and is also a collector. My granddaughter is in front of me and if you look closely, my grandson and son are hidden behind me in the photo. lol

Thank you Jodie! The only time I’ve worn this bakers cap is with this jacket, they are the same gray and bought separately. One of those times when something just happens to match perfectly! 🙂

There must be at least one Paris and one London in every State of the USA and Canada, dear Carmen, am I right?!
I love to collect stones, too, including minerals, they are so gorgeous…
    Have a pleasant day!
    Lots of greetings from Lu

Quite right, dear Lu, there certainly are more cities called Paris and London in North America. However, there are only two cities called Paris in Canada (Ontario and Yukon) and only one city called London in Canada, which is in Ontario.

There are about 25 (Paris) in the USA and about 10 (London) in the USA. I only found six States that have both cities. If you do more research, let me know if there are more. lol

I’m glad to hear that you love and collect stones too. You would have loved this show!

      Liebe Grüße!

Thanks for your research, dear Carmen, I thought that there would be more Parises and Londones in the whole of North America…
and now I am a little bit disappointed because of the result of your discovery… *uhuhuhu*

Of course I would have loved it!! ⭐
Take good care and enjoy your WE
