Hi, Carmen — Your outfit is gorgeous! I love how the peplum shows under the bottom of the cropped jacket. ❤ — Angie, http://www.yourtrueselfblog.com

Thanks so much Angie! It used to be that jackets and coats must always be longer than what’s worn under. Now it’s so fashionable to have the tops longer, but it depends on what we are wearing the jacket/coat with. In this case, I think it works and I’m pleased with the look. 🙂

Velvet is so luxurious!! And the peplum is flattering on you. Burgundy does look royal.
I love that you’re posing on a white/black tile floor. Makes your black pop out more!

Thank you very much Melinda! Isn’t that a fabulous floor? I’d love these honeycomb tiles in my kitchen, bit of a vintage vibe and goes with everything. I’ve posed in this location a number of times, it’s a store in a mall nearby. 🙂

Hi Carmen, Burgundy and black go together beautifully! It is another color option for me to look at , but the top is so pretty on you. The lace looks so good with the velvet and peplum detail . The blazer is a great look over the top and the leggings and booties complete a very stylish look by you. I do love black skirts with floral print tops, one of my favorite combinations. Have a lovely weekend Carmen, hugs, Terri xo.

I love the combination of these two colors and, of course, I love the beauty of this top! I love the bodice-shaped design with the peplum hem and the wonderful lace on top! It is very elegant and very attractive, perfect for your silhouette. Also the pants are perfect for your wonderful legs. And when you accompany him with the satin jacket the outfit already acquires tones of great beauty and delicate elegance. A very feminine and very attractive look, with all the strength of those colors and the delicacy of the wonderful design accompanied by the softness of the fabrics. A wonderful look for the most wonderful woman! I think your mane is a little longer now, is that so?

Thank you so much for your kind words Josep-Maria! I have six peplum tops and I feel elegant when I wear them, perhaps because they remind me of my dear mother who was the epitome of elegance! Also, velvet and lace were favourites of my mom’s and influenced me greatly in my love of fashion. My hair might be a little longer but I have kept it at this length by trimming it a bit every time I visit my hairdresser (she takes a centimetre or two off).

I confess that I love all different colors together. Now that it’s getting (somewhat) warmer, I really enjoy fuchsia & orange, but today it’s pink & green!!!
Love this combination of the lace top portion of this shirt along with the peplum!! And who said that peplum wasn’t flattering? I remember when it first came out, that’s all the critics said, and I totally disagree!!
XOXO

There are so many colours that look great together, I absolutely love pink and green! My mom wore peplum back in the ’60s and I was thrilled when it came in style again. I stocked up in case they stop making it, because I think it’s flattering and feminine.
Thanks so much for stopping by!
