New Year’s Outfit: something old, something new. New bodysuit with lace on neckline and cuffs from Hudson’s Bay (perfect for dancing because it stays tucked in). Lace skirt is about 10 years old with happy memories of the past.

Something you may not know about me is that I am hopelessly romantic, sensitive and sentimental with a love for nostalgia.

Robert Burns had no idea when he wrote his poem in 1788, that it would become a traditional song, echoing all around the world on New Year’s Eve.

It has been sung thousands of times on the big screen and recorded on albums, from little Shirley Temple to Bing Crosby, in movies like It’s a Wonderful Life, An Affair to Remember, When Harry Met Sally and Elf.

As another year has come to an end and a new one has begun, let’s remember the good days and the blessings, let’s look forward to new opportunities and fresh starts every morning.
