Those doors do make an amazing backdrop but it is you in your Sunday best that is the real star of these pictures. You look fantastic ❤️

Thank you very much Bri! You are so kind! 🙂 I look at these photos and see my beloved mom. She was a fashion icon who truly inspired me! I always remember her wearing her little white gloves. 🙂

That’s fantastic that you are carrying on a fashion tradition inspired by your Mom. Those petite white gloves pack a wonderful feminine touch

Hi Carmen, you again are gorgeous in your Sunday best! Such a feminine and pretty dress, love polka dots! It is also a nice length. All the accessories are amazing too, The hat is a great match with the bow , The pearls are a classy touch , the white gloves, and another cute purse! I would love to see more ladies dress like this for church, bring back past days. Have a nice Monday, hugs, Terri xo.

Many thanks for your comment Terri! I love a string of pearls, but only imitation pearls! 🙂
The styles of yesteryear are so classy and ladylike.

Oh my God! Absolutely wonderful! You look like one of the Hollywood movie divas in their golden age. The dress is a real treat and the outfit is pure elegance and appeal. How beautiful you look with it! I love the polka dots of the print, and the beautiful game of white and black throughout the look. The beautiful hat, gloves … so delicate and elegant, vintage handbag, lounge shoes, belt that highlights your beautiful waist, your retro glasses … The whole look has an air of elegance, romanticism, classicism, vintage … and lots, lots of beauty in you! Without a doubt, an outfit of 10! You are the real top!

What lovely compliments, thank you very much dear Josep-Maria!! Both the sunglasses and belt belonged to my dear mother, she always looked like a movie star when she went out, no matter where she was going. She had a similar polka dot dress (with larger polka dots) that’s why I bought this dress. The difference is our hairdos: mine is long and straight, her hairstyle was more elegant like Kim Novak in the ’60s. 🙂

Oh Carmen !!! This is sooo beautiful and soooo special. You look amazing. I also think that there are situations where we should make an effort – the church being one of them. Kisses – Margot :))0

What a terrific dress, post and your glasses – wow! Beautiful. I totally agree with you. I was raised in the midwest and you wore your Sunday best to church. Even now, I typically always wear a dress ( I live in CA where people dress more casually even in church) because to me, it’s a matter of being respectful to God and iin God’s house.

Thank you so much! The cat-eye sunglasses are authentic vintage that belonged to my mom. I can see the world through her glasses! 🙂 Makes me very happy! How we dress can reflect our attitude. I certainly wouldn’t show up to someone’s wedding in jeans. Like you, I want to show respect to God. Also, I really enjoy dressing up.
Blessings!

It’s funny because I remember my grandmother having a fuss over the kids wearing jeans to church. And now everyone does. But we usually try to get more fancy—why not??

My how times have changed! Hopefully, something much more important than what we wear remains the same: to love one another and be kind, to treat others how we wish to be treated, to forgive others as we ask God to forgive us. 🙂
Blessings!

Thank you so much Ute! My mom had a similar dress in the ’50s with larger polka dots and I must say, I feel very nostalgic wearing this pretty dress. Let me know when your piggy bank is full and I’ll get the room ready! Here’s a couple of places to give you impetus.
