Style imitating art

This outfit makes a fun fashion statement. My graphic T-shirt is thrifted and I thought it would be funny to imitate the art on my tee by wearing a straw hat and a ponytail on one side.

Sunglasses: my mom’s from the ‘50s
Purse: Florida Flea Market
Cuff: made from an old vinyl record by an artisan in Brooklyn.
Shoes: Payless

My grandchildren are sometimes behind the scenes on my photo shoots. They’re used to me taking a myriad of photos and videos.

Earlier this year my Friday dance class showed up with everyone wearing black and white. It was so cool and completely unplanned. I joked and said, “I see you all got the memo.” We decided to make every Friday a fashion theme. I’m always noticing and commenting on what they wear anyway; I have very fashionable ladies in my classes and they all know I’m a fashionista.

This Friday’s theme is lace, which means I have a lot of choices. I’ll be wearing this top but with blue jeans.

      Thank you kindly my dear! We do have fun dancing in class and everyone participates in the fashion theme. I have a children’s dance class too for 3 – 5 year olds and my granddaughter is my assistant. She chooses the fashion theme for the children and they love it. My granddaughter is also a Scottish Highland dancer. 🙂

    Carmen in white is my Carmen! Carmen in white is the delicacy, the tenderness, the beauty, the softness, the purity … I always say it and now I repeat it, the white one is you! The shirt has a very beautiful print, I like the drawing, but above all I love the beautiful lace trim on the back. And how beautiful with your hat and ponytail in your hair, remind me so much of photos on the beach in Toronto where there is a lighthouse. The bag is cute, and the whole look is pure life! You are the beauty and delicacy made woman! How nice to see your happy grandchildren in your post!

      Thank you ever so much dear Josep-Maria! Of course, you know I love white, but this is not my usual white outfit. I had a bit of fun wearing the same hat. Ha ha!! The lace on the back makes it special and I am wearing it today for our lace theme in my dance class. My grandchildren are growing and a joy in my life!
