Dear Carmen, what a wonderful and elegant look! You already know how I like the lace and these designs so sophisticated and beautiful. The sophisticated outfit, with the lovely skirt, top and kimono is a real gem. A wonderful combination of beautiful things. I love the top, I love the beautiful filigree of the back. I love your pencil skirt, a garment that you do not wear very often. And the kimono, with that precious and special stamp, that makes the look so special. Fantastic accessories, I love your necklace and bracelet, and the little bag is a real treat. And you are absolutely right, it is nice to always find something to celebrate, although I suppose, next to you, every day is special.

Thank you very much Josep-Maria! Lace and velvet are truly my favourite fabrics. Pencil skirts were my mother’s signature style, yet I only have two. It makes me feel like my mom and reminds me of her elegance. You’re quite right, I do not wear this style often. I am more comfortable in flowy dresses, perhaps because I love to dance end pencil skirts are not very practical for dancing. As a child and young girl, I only wanted dresses and skirts that twirl when I spin around. I would spin around in the store and if the dress did not flare out, I told my mother that the skirt does not dance, I want a skirt that dances! lol
Perhaps I am old enough now for pencil skirts. 🙂

Thanks very much Olga! A grateful outlook helps us stay young because we will smile more often. Pollyanna was right, find something to be glad about. 🙂 I agree, it’s not always easy because there certainly are difficulties that we face.

Hi Carmen, Thank you for this post! We do need to cherish all that is around us and take time to wonder at God’s creation. I will try to smile as I welcome a new day. You are gorgeous in this outfit Dear! Everything is pretty, the skirt is lovely and the detail on the top is so nice, the back detail is amazing. Finishing off with the kimono and heart purse shows you are ready to go where your day will take you. Have a nice weekend, hugs, Terri xo

Thank you kindly for your comment Terri! We sure have plenty to be thankful for and to enjoy the beautiful world God created!
I woke up yesterday morning with the strangest feeling that I have never had before. I had the sensation of having no limbs like Nick Vujicic. I was so grateful to realize I do have arms and legs. What we take for granted is only a dream for some. Nick Vujicic is one of the most positive people I’ve watched on video. He is a remarkable young man.

That looks gorgeous. Enjoy your Thanks giving dinner. We don’t do it here and I am glad. There is still plenty to celebrate each day. I am just enjoying my Fennel tea, as my tummy feels a bit funny, so no food for me today at all….. safer. Enjoy your healthy dinner and have a great day!
