Autumn can wait

Last week was perfect for this outfit because we had a heatwave. I’m not complaining–more opportunities to wear my summer clothes and enjoy a stroll along the river by the Old Mill ruins. It’s a picturesque location and people come here for wedding photography.

These cropped pants are cool and I paired them with a black sleeveless top.

I brought my little mesh topper for the evening after the sun sets.

Version 2

To make a little extra money and keep useable items out of landfills, when we find furniture on the curb we take it home in our truck. We found 5 Queen Anne dining chairs thrown out on garbage day and rescued them, now we’ll find a new home for them.

  3. Hi Carmen, I hope the weather is staying warm for you! The ruins and scenery are lovely. The pants and top look very stylish on you! The mesh topper is also a very pretty item for the cool! What fabric is it? What a great find getting the Queen Anne chairs! One woman’s junk can be another woman’s treasure! I tell myself that when I go to goodwill. Do you have that store? I love the poses with the glass of wine and your evening at Friends. Have a beautiful day ahead Carmen , hugs to you, Terri xo.

Thank you very much Terri! We’re still enjoying pleasant weather and the sun is shining after a downpour earlier this morning. More time to wear my summer clothes. I dread winter, too cold and inconvenient. The mesh topper is cotton and polyester.

We have Goodwill too, as well as other secondhand stores where I love to shop. It supports a good cause and keeps things out of landfills. I would guess half my wardrobe is thrifted. 😉

I love the scenery and I love that you can continue wearing your beautiful summer clothes. As beautiful as these pants, I love them! I love this original stamping. And I love the top, already known by me. A top that always serves to prepare very beautiful and elegant outfits. The sandals are cute. Beautiful your choker and your bracelet, two pieces that perfectly adapt to this look. The subtle chiffon shirt you wear above the top is perfect, very beautiful and with a design and a color that falls in love.

Thank you kindly! I love this oriental print too, looks like a watercolour painting. I do get a lot of wear out of the top as you have noticed, it goes with so many things and looks much more elegant than a T-shirt. I bought the little lace choker in NYC.

A heatwave how wonderful. I got warmer socks on and long sleeves and a cardigan. It is getting cooler here. No way with a sleeveless top like you. Let Autumn wait. It has been mild last week though. Lovely chairs you found. I am sure someone will love them.

Another lovely day today, with the sun shining! I actually don’t mind Autumn, it’s winter that I can hardly bear anymore. I’m a California girl at heart, living in the north. lol

What a treasure you found with those chairs. We recently donated our chairs because they were too big for our new place. But they’ll be perfect for someone else!

Glad to hear you donated your chairs. We had to downsize when we moved, some things we sold and some we donated. You’ll never find anything useable in our garbage.

      Thanks for stopping by!
