Twice as Nice: ecru and blue skirts

Blue and White

Here’s the skirt I showed in my previous post but this time in blue. I love pairing it with a white lace top. I often buy two of a kind–even shoes–I have these shoes in blue and burgundy (bought in Germany in 1982).

Ecru and Black

This skirt is unbleached cotton, a natural shade of ecru and this time I’ve paired it with a black lace top. My necklace looks like lace is actually metal. Cuff is upcycled bicycle inner tube.

My cool cat-eye sunglasses from the 1950s belonged to my mom. She was a fashion icon.

    How beautiful this delicate combination of lace in white and blue, in black and white! Both are beautiful, the blouse, the skirt, the shoes … A delicate variation of the previous post, the previous look … This outfit seems very appropriate for you, for that mixture of delicacy and beauty that nobody represents better than you! The delicate watermarks, the ruffles, the necklace, the ballerina slippers … You look absolutely wonderful with both!       Thank you ever so much Josep-Maria! I’m happy you like both colour combinations. The ballet shoes are inspired by Audrey Hepburn, whom we both admire. Her style was often casual, but always elegant.

    Hi Carmen, You look gorgeous in that blue skirt! It goes nicely wjth the lace top and the shoes. I love that you have them from 1982!       Thank you very much Terri! You have mentioned of my favourite things in this post: my mom’s sunglasses and my shoes! The sunglasses are so fun to wear and evoke happy memories of my mom! The shoes are lovely memories of living in Germany in 1982. They are showing wear now so I don’t wear them often. I’m terribly sentimental, everything tangible is connected to a happy memory. 🙂
