Kimono-style floral dressing gown

“Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery!”

Kimono

Blogging definitely inspires me. We are influential beings. When I first saw some of my fellow bloggers featuring vintage Kimono morning robes or dressing gowns, I knew this is a look I would wear.

My second purchase in NYC was this elegant Kimono with florals on a black background. It’s not vintage but I love the style. Made in USA.

I remember my mother having one that she wore when lounging around the house or at the beach. It even had a similar print.

I wore it to MoMA (Museum of Modern Art) and blended right in with the art.

I wore it to Chelsea Market in Manhattan (the place where Nabisco created OREO cookies in 1912–BTW Oreos are vegan).

I get most of my fashion inspiration from my daughter Jean, I copied her by starting a fashion blog. I miss reading her posts because she doesn’t post as often since she opened her eco boutique in Seattle.

This Kimono is like a duster, lightweight and will make a great beach coverup and perfect for lounging at home and entertaining guests.

We walked over to Macy’s–world’s largest store–and I had more fun on the old-fashioned escalators than shopping.

Is this a trend you’ve bought or would wear?
What have you bought that was inspired by a blogger?

I love this style! I actually have three kimono-type garments in my wardrobe, all three of different length: short, medium and long. Thank you for beautiful photographs!

That Kimono is lovely! Looks so good, and part of the museum with the flowers, as you said.

The photos, of back, in the MOMA, I love! Kimono, artwork, and your hair, without a doubt, the most beautiful … your hair! The kimono is great, I love the stamping. And your look all black, with the delicate t-shirt with lace trim, and your capris … gorgeous! And I like the touches of red in your glasses and your shoes. Black, red and floral print is a beautiful combination. I also like to see photos of NYC, thanks for sharing them. But dear Carmen, all this rhetoric is collateral, because in this post all my attention is placed on your hair, I always like it, but today I find it wonderful. When you’re back, with the ponytail, in the photo at the door, with the hair on your face, so … seductive, moving, passing the pedestrian crossing, on the bridge … Carmen, on This post, the kimono is not the center of attention, the center of attention is yourself!
