Easter Blessings

What do I have in common with Carrie Underwood? We’re both Christians and vegans.

“Carrie is an animal lover and a vegan. She stopped eating meat at the age of thirteen because she could not stand the thought of eating one of her own animals”

That’s how I feel, eating a pig would be like eating my own dog or cat. Unthinkable! As a child, I thought I was the only vegetarian in the world. I didn’t even know the word “vegetarian” – all I knew is that I would not eat animals. My family ate meat, all my friends ate meat and I was the only one I knew that didn’t eat animals.

I went to the movies during Holy week to see The Case for Christ. Have you seen it?

This Easter will be like all Easters: a time to remember God’s amazing love, a time to celebrate the Resurrection of Jesus Christ, a time to sing and dance, time to gather with family to enjoy a meal together.

    Carmen – I know being vegetarian is like not being vegetarian – you just feel this is right or this is what you want to do. But I must admit you made me laugh – it’s what my husband says about my Polish tradition of eating carp on Xmas Eve – he also says that it would be like eating a dog. 😉 🙂 I hope you had a great Easter – kisses – Margot 🙂 🙂 🙂

    Sing, dance, smile, make happy those around you … those are the characteristics of your wonderful personality. You can dress all in white, with the beautiful lace skirt, you can sing with the beautiful friends songs, you can dance, you can teach to dance to the others … You can be an example of life by your convinced vegan, loving the animals and Respecting the natural life and nature. What better way to live your Christianity than that: loving others, making them happy and giving mankind your wonderful existence? I, who am an agnostic, try to share with you that way of loving and understanding religion. With you everything seems so easy to understand …

      Muchas Gracias mi querido Josep-Maria! I sincerely appreciate your kindness! As you know, my vegan lifestyle gives me much peace in my heart, as well as being healthy. My Christian walk of faith gives me love to share with everyone. God is Love. We don’t need religion. Religion is man’s way to manipulate the masses with fear. I wish someday we could sit at a cafe by the sea to talk and share thoughts. 🙂

      Here is a nice spot to discuss matters of the purpose of life. Don’t you think? 🙂

    No, I haven’t seen the case for Christ yet.
