Velvet and lace and a pencil skirt

Pencil skirts are so elegant and this one is so comfortable. It’s made by Blue Canoe–an American company–and I love this shade of burgundy. I’ve bought several things from Blue Canoe while in Seattle in September.

It was an instant decision when I tried it on in Jean’s eco boutique: the fit, the unique style, the quality. The fabric is a textured knit.

Meanwhile in Canada, we enjoyed a mild weekend in February and I could actually wear this velvet jacket instead of a coat. The sun was shining and I felt a warm breeze!

My cotton lace top is several years old. It was even warm enough to wear lacy tights.

Behind the scenes: my grandchildren are nearby having fun! Today is Family Day!

Have a lovely week everyone!

Thank you for stopping by!

Thank you so much for including me in your real-life fashion show Patti! Up here in the north we need boots to trek through the slush and snow, and keep our tootsies warm. For you southern gals it’s a fashion statement. 🙂 Believe me, I prefer sandals! I can’t wait to shed these booties! I’m the first one to wear sandals as soon as the snow melts!

Dear God, my dear Carmen, today you surpass yourself, which seems impossible! You are really beautiful, elegant, attractive … wonderful! I love the skirt, the beautiful color, the modern and special design and the appeal that adds to your beauty. The lace blouse is a treasure, I love those watermarks in the fabric and the way it looks over you, plus combining wonderfully with the pencil skirt. The fantasy stockings are beautiful, and your legs make them even more beautiful. Nice velvet jacket, great complement to make a perfect outfit.Carmen, you look so beautiful in this post … but I tremble a little at the thought of the cold you passed, despite the temperate weather you say. What you call temperate, to me it is very cold! LOL.

Thank you kindly! I’m happy for your comments. I’m sure you would feel cold, but for me it is a breath of fresh air after suffering sub-zero weather for many weeks. I’m so looking forward to more warm days coming when spring finally arrives! 🙂

It must have been quite warm, with the lacey tights. ….but still some snow I see! Also here it is warmer too, well milder as I call it. Spring is coming Carmen! Yay

Spring is on it’s way, though some snow here and there, wish I could say that’s the last of the snow, but that would be rare. We’re sure to have another snowfall before spring arrives. As you can see, my grandchildren are having fun!
