Classic black for the New Year’s Eve Ball; always in style, never out of date, forever chic. The skirt (Free People) has a sewn-in lace underskirt to look layered. I’m wearing a black shrug over a lace trimmed camisole.
Long black gloves and a black lace choker add a dramatic look.
I feel elegant in my favourite black stilettos with zippers.

Thank you so much for your wonderful comment dear Josep-Maria! When I wear my hair up, I think of my dear mother who wore her hair up many times in the 1960s. I look at these photos, I see my mom. She had a black velvet outfit and always looked so elegant. Long black satin gloves remind me of Audrey Hepburn. 🙂

Thank you dear Ralph! I love playing dress-ups, something I enjoyed as a child. I watched my mom get ready for special occasions and she always looked like a movie star.

Thank you so much Ute! I’ll be doing a show dance, the one I posted was a rehearsal. I’ll also be teaching some fun couple and group dances: a few Irish and Scottish dances, Gay Gordons and the Canadian Barn Dance, plus some Israeli dances. Then after the break I’d be DJ for social and ballroom dances: Rumba, Cha Cha, Waltz, Jive etc. Wish you could come, I’m sure you’d love it. It’s formal and semi-formal.
