Thrifting on Capitol Hill
While strolling along the avenue where my daughter Jean has her store — Drizzle and Shine, on Capitol Hill — I found a thrift shop and bought a nearly-new black coat with white trim, perfect for all the black and white clothes I brought for my holiday in Seattle. I was wearing my black and white capris.

You bought that beautiful coat, is perfect with your wonderful capris, which are already part of your beautiful aesthetic history. And those shoes are also known to me, they are one of my favorites. Seattle seems to have wonderful shops, and a progressive and modern spirit that I love. I guess it’s a good place to live. We have no second-hand clothes, rather, we have very little, it is something that is now beginning to be introduced. I hope the cold in Ontario even is bearable, in Catalunya begins today at lower the temperatures.

I absolutely love thrifting too! It’s probably because I love a deal –period. But I think it’s a great way to recycle. One man’s trash is another’s treasure, right?
Right this exact minute, I’m wearing a lilac Escada blazer that I thrifted last year for only $20—It’s been quite a favorite of mine!!
I love a great, statement jacket or coat. Since we wear them almost every day in the winter, I figure it’s nice to have one with some personality!!
You look fantastic!

Thank you Jodie! Thrifting is a great way to stretch our dollars. Most of my coats and jackets are thrifted, that why I have so many! This coat was $25. and looked like it hadn’t been worn.

Thank you Ute. I used to shop at OXFAM when I lived in Scotland. Thrifting (second hand) is like a treasure hunt, you never know what you’ll find and it helps a good cause, as well as keeping things out of landfills by extending the life of the garment.

Great coat – classic colours and style. One of those which are a must – always trendy and always looking good. I love it how you always show little local shops or other attractions. Have a nice weekend – Margot 🙂

I love thrifting!!! Sadly, Houston isn’t too well-stocked in that regard so I often find myself scouring the thrift and vintage stores in Austin as well as Dallas 🙂
