Tim Hortons – soy good!

Tim Hortons–Canada’s version of Starbucks–celebrated 50 years in May 2014. I was so glad that they started offering soy milk for costumers.

Enjoy the Soy!

Their pretzel bagels are delicious (made without dairy or eggs).

There are plenty of people who are lactose intolerant, as well as people like me who don’t drink milk because of compassion for dairy cows and people who care about their health. Throwback Thursday: celebrating 50 years of Tim Hortons doughnuts.

soyIn case you’ve heard propaganda about soy, here’s Mic to explain it much better than I can. FYI – my breasts have never changed in over 15 years of drinking soy. Don’t you think soy companies would make a fortune if it were true? Women would no longer get breast implants.

Unless you’re allergic to it, soy is good for you (same goes for peanuts and other foods as well).

It’s not soy we should be worried about … it’s DAIRY!

My oldest son Daniel introduced me to these excellent videos on Youtube. This guy knows what he’s talking about and backs it up with well-documented facts.

Enjoy the soy!

Tim Hortons is s Sunday ritual after church whenever we’re in Canada. My Aspie son won’t have it any other way.
Do you know much about the whole GMO and soy thing? I know there are a ton of people that think it causes cancer and all. I would like to incorporate a lot more soy in my family’s diet as a meat alternative.

My husband and I switched from Soy to Silk Almond milk, also dairy free. Whenever we had a coffee at Berlin Café in Belmont Village Kitchener (you and I went there 2 weeks ago…) or at EcoCafé in St. Jacobs, were offered Almond milk as an option…which, obviously and gladly, was our choice. ☺️ The two videos are excellent indeed! Thank you so much for sharing, meine liebe Freundin!

I love silk almond milk too, it’s delicious! It’s great to have several options and I’m glad more coffee shops and restaurants are providing alternatives to dairy. It was fun to go to Berlin Café with you!

Let’s go again meine liebe Freundin!

OK, I just had to share this funny thing. I was telling Pete about how as a vegan man, he has MORE testosterone than dairy-drinking men (based on what I learned in the video). I was explaining why he does NOT have man-boobs. He seemed pleased as he sat there in his pink golf shirt. Yes. PINK. Which just goes to show, you can take the dairy out of the man, but…

Ha ha!! I’m sure he’s pleased to hear that Susan! BTW did you know that male flamingos are just as pink as their female friends? 😉 Pete is in good company!

I love almonds too and eat them almost every day. I buy a delicious almond butter (it’s like peanut butter but made with almonds). There are many different soy milks and some taste better than others. I don’t drink it pure, I just add it to coffee and pour it on my cereal and use it in recipes instead of dairy milk.

      Have a healthy day!

My dear Carmen, thanks for the lovely comment. In Spain is common, the most modern cafes, already use soy milk, free and lactose, Spaniards are increasingly concerned about their health. This company could not have found a better, prettier and healthier model. But evidentmente, I noticed other things in the post, such as your capris. My queen capri fit again! Thou shalt have a little left! You are gorgeous with your look so smooth.

Thanks so much my dear Josep-Maria! Your continued support is very encouraging to me. You knew from the start that my lifestyle is part of what I want to share on my blog. Health is more important than the clothes we wear. It makes me so happy to hear that people in Spain are also seeing the benefits of eating healthy.

      Here’s to your heath!

Thank you Gemma! So true, many people are allergic to dairy milk. Anyone allergic to soy has some other healthy options: such as coconut milk, almond milk, cashew milk, hemp milk and rice milk.
