I love your sentiments in this piece, showing the sense of continuum throughout your family Carmen. These photos have true value in an era where everything is fast paced in a throwaway society. Thank you for sharing this x

This is fascinating to see the photos of several members of your family taken at the same spot but many years apart. Kids have grown and changed but the horse still looking the same…

What a lovely memory with the horse and your family members on it. I don’t remember the horse. But is must be there because of the name Stuttgart which comes from Stuten Garten, my parents explained. My gran often talked about the Killesberg, I think I was only there once and I only remember many lanterns.
It is great to look at old photos, I love doing that with my mum as she recalls everything from then, much more than I can recall!

Vielen Dank meine liebe Ute! I love how moments in time are captured in photos, a glimpse into the past. Yes, Stuten Garten means Stud Garden in English, as my mother told me as a child. 🙂
Sweet memories!

Next time you are in Stuttgart, I suggest you mount the horse just like Johnny, Jonathan and Daniel did…..the four similar photographs would make a terrific heirloom for generations to come.
I’m sure when you make Haferflocken, that you remember your Mom with love. I enjoy oatmeal porridge.
Your friends enjoy your life’s up…..your friends stand by to help you cope with your life’s downs.
I have some objects that I treasure because they connect me to my heritage.
Thanks for this issue of your love. 😀

Yes, I should have sat on the horse too! Also, I forgot to take a photo of Jean on the horse or by the horse. We’ll need to go back again someday!
Thank you for dropping by and sharing your thoughts! I thank God for friends who are with us through good times and bad times.

What a beautiful post, my dear Carmen! You’re really special, I say it every day, and never tire of repeating. Your sensibility, your delicacy, your love for your family, and this indelible memory of your brother are something very special. Since you follow through the blog, I felt almost part of your world, why you bestow to life a special meaning. Fots collection is a wonderful exercise of love. You are queen of so many things for me …

I love that post! It’s so nice to come back to a special place with which you connect happy moments. I think it’s important to have such places because they make you happy.

Thank you dear Franzi! Places do have special memories that come back so vividly in our minds. Another thing that connects me to happy moments are tangible objects. For example, I have two purple bowls from my childhood and I enjoy having my cereal in it to remember all the times my mom made Haferflocken for breakfast. 🙂
Liebe Grüße!

It is wonderful to keep those memories alive through pictures, all your family members look happy when riding the Stuttgart horse and that happiness of that moment is what we must keep in our heart and mind. Those happy moment of the past make us happy in our present and I think live is like a horse that we must ride everyday despite de ups and downs always with a smile 🙂

Thank you for your kind words dear Ivan! I agree, keep the happy memories as treasures of the heart. I love looking at old photos, moments captured to remind us of happy times shared with family and friends.
I like your analogy of life being like a horse we must ride every day which has ups and downs, yet we still get up on the horse even after a fall.
Blessings my friend!
