Long Cardigans in Black and White

When I can’t decide which one to buy, I buy them both. Actually, my mom started me with this habit; she would buy the same thing in different colours and my daughter Jean and I have continued this tradition. In fact, it doesn’t have to do with deciding which one I like better, rather it’s because I like it so much that I buy two, three and sometimes four and even five (yes, five!) in every colour! I do the same with shoes.

These long cardigans came in black and white. I had already bought the pants a few weeks ago when I saw them in the window display at Le Chateau.

The weather in spring is like an escalator at the mall: up and down. I really don’t mind as long as it doesn’t snow. Cardigans and jackets are practical at this time of year, even in the summer there can be cool nights and the malls are always air-conditioned, so I often need a cardigan.

These cardigans from Le Chateau are a loose knit, so soft and comfortable. And why not buy the sandals I’m wearing in black and white as well?

    I love the print on you this is so pretty, head to toe, and I do the same thing. Buy more of the same in different colors, especially shoes!

    Your long cardigan will be very useful in summer evenings! Both the black and the white version matched perfectly to your pants… I also love the sandals

    That’s a fabulous look, Carmen, I’d instantly wear this outfit. Oh yes, I am the same: I do buy the same item in two colours! Shoes, trousers, blouses… My daughter will never understand that but I am glad when I find a perfectly fitting pair of shoes, so why not buy them more than once 🙂 Yours are fantastic, love them!

    That happens with me too, I can buy same thing of different colours. Both of your cardigans are good, they just create a little bit different mood. And I really can’t say which I like better. You look gorgeous as always.

      Thank you so much Olga! If my mother liked something a lot, she would even buy it in the same colour and save it for when one wore out, because she knew she’d never find another one like it again. Ha ha!

    I’m officially in love with your shoes! I have such trouble wearing open toed shoes. My feet are so small I end up slipping through them.

      Thank you so much Bob! Glad I am keeping you amused. I only did four posts in June, that’s an average of once a week. I was actually planning two a week with all the photos taken but I am a little behind. Good thing it’s just a hobby and I don’t have any dead lines, no boss, no pressure (and no money)! 😉

    A great outfit! Love the shoes in both colors. The pants are fabulous too! I too love buying things I love in multiples and try to limit myself to 2 but often end up with 3 , especially with bottoms in solid colors. Sweaters is a tough one to not buy 10 colors sometimes, but I resist so I can find other options and keep variety.

      Thank you Ada! Le Chateau has been one of my favourite stores ever since the 60s when i started paying for my own clothes. I can’t go in unless I’m prepared to buy something (or put it on hold if i don’t have enough money. 😉

    I do like your easy decision making of buying two. I had the same thought of a jacket just now from my French catalog…. It is a lovely cardigan wonderful in both colours. I do love cardigans, you can ask anyone I am a cardi lady. Never leave home without it! 🙂
