Spring Cleaning

I’ve started my spring cleaning. First on my list was to get the “treehouse” ready to use. This is a covered deck (overlooking an enchanted forest) shelter from the rain and shade from the sun, with screens all around to keep the mosquitoes and flies out. I’m wearing a little frock and leggings. I like to dress stylish even when cleaning, because I like to. 🙂

Vacuuming the carpet …

Cleaning the wicker furniture (I use NORWEX enviro cloths) …

Washing the screens (I use my NORWEX mit) …

Time to relax for a few minutes sipping tea and listen to the birds sing.

This is what it will look like in a few weeks when all the leaves turn green. The early morning sun shining in is so inviting to enjoy breakfast before a busy day begins.

I also go out in this outfit, perhaps that’s why it’s called an OUT fit, because it’s fit to go out. I wear it to go shopping.

It has a lovely asymmetrical floral pattern on one side, a diagonal hemline with a faux lace slip.

I wore it for crossing the Brooklyn bridge last summer.

And for relaxing in the park

Great cute outfit for Spring cleaning, your style is at the same time elegant and comfortable and you look great without many accesorie. By the way I have same bow flats from Target but in color beige and I wear them as slippers when partying at home or for dance lessons, not expensive flats but very comfy. Have a good day

Great outfit Carmen. That’s so nice that you get dressed up even to do house work. LOVE your treehouse. It must be so relaxing to gaze out into the enchanted forest. I bet even on a raining day it’s still amazing.

Now if this post would only motivate me to do my Spring cleaning 🙂

Thank you so much Brian! You’re absolutely right, it’s a wonderful place to sit when it’s raining, so enjoyable to listen to the rain on the roof and to smell the fragrance of rain is refreshing.

      Thanks for your visit!
      Have a wonderful weekend!

Every piece of your outfit had to be made with you in mind! Just so much soft, cool beauty. So you, or what I imagine to be at least a small part of your essence. I’ve never seen multiple layers look so weightless … but I KNOW you don’t usually wash windows in this! Sorry. Just not buying it. But it does make a great picture of a gorgeous lady in her element!

Have a question for you. Last summer you featured a white gauzy blouse with floral design on top. It comes from China on ebay. Could you help me with the sizing? Is it fairly true to size or should I order up a size? By the way, you look absolutely wonderful!!!

Like Maggie, I am pleased to see you enjoying your home. Rather than lamenting the loss of your river view, you can rejoice in the happy memories of your time there. As you have said, this life is but a journey enjoying each chapter as we move toward our heavenly home.

I always enjoy reading your blog and the comments. What a pleasant interlude to life’s busyness.

Thank you Bob! I do appreciate that you take time from the busyness of life to read my blog and comment.

I am surrounded by the ambiance of the enchanted forest; I am certainly grateful for the amazing forest view: the birds singing, woodpeckers drumming, spring peepers courting, coyotes howling in the distance at night, wild turkeys, deer and bunnies. I love it!

The fragrance of the forest fills the senses and the breeze is refreshing.

In this earthly life we are pilgrims on a journey home.

      Blessings!!

Thank you Melinda! I have only scratched the surface with the work that has to be done around here, but I know my priorities, keeping in touch with the blogging community! After all, there’s always next spring to do spring cleaning; if we miss it this year, we can always do it again next year. That’s the procrastinators motto.

Seriously, my mom taught me that dust isn’t so bad, but the kitchen and bathrooms should be kept clean. I love my NORWEX cloths, they make cleaning a cinch and actually fun. I can clean those 12 huge screens in less than 10 minutes without having to remove them. Mirrors and windows are a breeze!

Sounds like a commercial? Yes, I do sell them because they are the BEST, cleaning with water and no chemicals, not even windex. Glass sparkles with these two cloths: one to wash and the other to dry.

Dusting has never been easier with my NORWEX cloths! They trap the dust in the fibres like no other cloth!

      Happy week!

  13. We are on the same wavelength. I washed some windows today and have started on the arduous task of purging some of the basement. It is going to take me a month to get through it all I think.

I love your outdoor room. I wish we had one of those.

Thanks Suzanne, it really is a lovely spot to have a spot of tea! We have a walkout basement, so the deck is on the second floor adjacent to our living-room. Our house is on a hill so it’s like being another story higher, a great view of the forest and the woodland creatures.

It feels good to get things clean and in order, doesn’t it? I don’t know how us bloggers have time for cleaning! 🙂

      Have a great week!

That tree house is so beautiful and I can imagine that you spend a wonderful time up there. My spring clean was a bit different today… I did my computer desk…It needed it badly, and my son cleaned out the computer inside as it was very dusty. Now it looks better again! Love your outfit and the cute bag!

Thank you my dear Maggie! I am thankful for this lovely house, the best part is the covered deck or as my cousin Marion calls it – the garden room. I may never have another opportunity to live by a river again, but a forest is cool and refreshing on hot summer days, always a nice breeze and pleasant fragrance.

Time for another Princess Tea Party soon!
