Out of the blue, I received a wonderful surprise; I got a message that my dear cousin and her darling daughter were coming for a visit to Canada. I’ve been away from blogging for a few weeks because we’ve been out and about, enjoying some fabulous day trips and shopping. They came to visit at a cool, but gorgeous, time of year with the splendor of the autumn leaves in all their glory.
Welcome to Canada!
The day after they arrived we enjoyed a delicious vegetarian dinner (Zen Gardens Chinese Vegetarian Restaurant) with my friend Maggie and a walk by the Grand River and the old mill.
November 1st was World Vegan Day and November is World Vegan Month. I hope this will be a time to remember our furry and fine feathered friends. We can put a stop to the suffering caused by the meat, dairy and egg industries by choosing vegan: save animals and our environment–not to mention all the health benefits–actually, let’s mention them–please watch Forks Over Knives and let me know what you think.
What excitement and joy shows in your faces for the three of you to be together…..a mini family reunion, as it were.(Next maybe there will be an major family reunion.) I am sure that Maggie was thrilled to be part of the celebration at the Zen Garden and to enjoy the scenic Grand River in the area of the Old Mill.
I have many meatless days, have watched FORKS OVER KNIVES , have recommended it on my FB timeline and now do recommend it to your blog followers who happen to read this comment. Check your local library….that is where I borrowed the DVD.

What’s better than visit from family?
How long has it been, since you guys were together? My mum gave up meat entirely, about nine years ago. MY dad only consumes fish. As for me, I only consume fish and poultry. The longest I went without chicken or fish, was perhaps a few months.

Having trouble my end posting to your site … but you look lovely and I’m sure your guests had a wonderful time! Haven’t gone meatless completely, but often do at least a couple of days without, sometimes more, per week. I’m just focused on finding veggies here with some variety and flavor. Tough in the rural south, more than you’d think in an agricultural area!
Looking lovely as always!

A lovely post justifying, again, my opinion that your blog is special. Family, friends, healthy food, beautiful landscapes, and wrapping it all, your elegance and your beauty. This is no ordinary fashion blog is the blog that shows us that happiness is possible only surround ourselves with the nearest and simple things. See you walking through the Grand River, your dream landscape with your friend Maggie and your cousins, your beautiful look, so lady, and so elegantly simple, happiness is to admire; and capitalized. And, if you also got to bring a vegetarian restaurant, happiness becomes pleasure. Wonderful post will also help us to friends, because following your philosophy of life, the world would be better.
