After retuning from our flight back from NYC with Jean in August, I had enough time to unpack, go to the CNE (Canadian National Exhibition) in Toronto with my youngest son and his wife, pack up again and then drive out east to Connecticut with my oldest son and his family.
This is not our usual day trips that I’ve been posting. This one is literally one day trip, meaning it takes one day to drive there so we stayed at the Yankee Pedlar Inn while in Connecticut and enjoyed taking a step back in time. This century old hotel is a filled with history.
This old switchboard reminds me of when I used to be a switchboard operator for a chartered account company in Toronto. Hello? Are you there?

Strolling around and browsing through shops. My grandchildren were fascinated at the pottery shop and got to watch pottery being made.
I brought my yellow neon skinnies to wear with different tops. These were my favoutite pants this summer, worn here with a black tank top …
and here with a white tank top …
Jean and I bought honey comb necklaces in NYC.
I taught two dances at the Piper’s Gathering, where my son spent the weekend playing the small Scottish bagpipes.

I was wondering whether it was a day trip. Certainly, litterally! we basically have to go by plane to visit everyone, NYC ( bro), Parents ( Pittsburgh) DC ( other bro), as it is too hard for me to even sit 8 hours in the car. My hubby and I like day trrips, we go to Asheville and other surrounding areas at times, fun to do. Looks like you had alot of fun, things we would do. I love taking pictures, and that you did infront of the pretty mural. Love the yellow pants, and almost how they blended in with the bench!! THe top is pretty , looks great with them, you also look super in a tunic! I am showing soon, something out of my comfort zone…

Whenever I see the old wagons, I realize just how fortunate we are to have automobiles. Lol. It would take far too long, to get from point A in town to point B. However, I do love the nostalgia of old-world clothing/lidestyle. Even the lower class dressed more gentleman-esque and ladylike, compared to today. Now, my generation and the ones behind, believe no clothing = sexy.
There used to be an allure about a woman. Show a little shoulder here, a little leg there. But now, we are equating sexy with no clothing at all. I sound far beyond my years, but I cannot raise our son/daughter with this way of thinking. It bothers me immensely. Lol. Music videos are simply softcore porn, and concerts are simply live sex shows. Lol.

Connecticut seems a nice place to go. I think it’s a good place to sumegirte in the history of North America and in the beauty of their present life. The hotel looks lovely, and is where you should go, because he has gone by very special people. Your details of historical and artistic elements are beautiful. The photo in the old centralist is very nice, you seem to find a home there. I really like the necklace with bee cells, after perfectly with your outfit queen bee in yellow and black. See you dance on the field is a bucolic and wonderful scene. See you with Captain Hook, gives a little scary, because the Queen of capri is too delicate to be in the arms of a pirate.
