Peek-a-boo!

One more sleep till the fashion shows. This weekend I have another opportunity to model clothes for three stores at the annual Total Woman Show. One of them is Just for You Lingerie, owner Janice Welch has a lovely collection of intimate apparel and knows how to fit every woman perfectly for a bra that fits and feels good!

pink lace braHere’s a sneak peek preview of one of the outfits I’ll be wearing. I never imagined myself modeling a bra and lingerie in my 60s! Oh my! – I’m blushing!! It’s a women’s fashion show so there won’t be any men there, right? Well, it’s not much different than wearing a bikini. Would you wear a bra in a fashion show or post a pic on your blog?

Farida (age 44) and I were finalists of the 2013 Most Fabulous Women Over 40 Model Search. We went shopping together yesterday to try on outfits for this years fashion shows. I was given this pretty pink lace bra to wear with these comfy jammies.

Last year I wore a silky little black negligee with an elegant kimono from La Femme Privee.

Northern Reflections is one of the stores we’re modeling for.

Have a fashionable weekend!!

  2. Elegant and tasteful! You look amazing–for any age! I’ve worn less on the beach and I agree that there’s no difference really. So glad you had fun at the fashion show.

      Thank you very much Jean!

Glad you approve! I remember you wearing a bikini at the beach in Florida and you posted photos on your blog, you have the figure for it. I plan to do a bikini post this summer 😉

You look fantastic! Good on you for modelling something so many women in their 30’s are too timid or ashamed to wear. You have the figure to wear anything you want.

      Thanks so much Suzanne!

I must admit, I was flattered when I was asked to model a bra, I try to comply with what I am asked to wear in the fashion shows, figuring they will know what’s best for each woman. I have kept in shape and fortunately don’t have stretch marks from three babies. Modeling a bra was on the border of my comfort zone, especially since my son was taking some of the photos (he’s seen me in underwear at home, but this is in public).

      Fashion is fun!

  4. Of course! Why wouldn’t you model underwear in your 60s with your face and figure! Lingerie, ‘scuse me. You are a delight, and I’m so glad I know you. So cute in your public PJs!

Oh, how fun! Yeah, I agree it’s the same thing as wearing a bikini. No different in my eyes.

Thanks for your comment. It was so fun and I have had less on at the beach. Actually, I have a bra and panty set with navy and white stripes (rather nautical look) that I wore as a bikini, nobody noticed, but don’t tell anyone! 😉

That’s my point. If you’d wear a bikini you should be just as brave to wear a bra and panty set too. If it covers up the same amount as your bikini does, then it’s all the same to me. 😉

  6. Hi Carmen!!! This is totally unrelated to your recent post (which is awesome by the way – I love how you tastefully rock lingerie!!), but my sister who lives in London told me about this group Vegup London; they are holding a meeting called “How to Rock a Healthy Plant-Based Diet” and I thought you might be interested. I believe my sister is going and if you were going to attend, she would love to meet you (of course I would be very envious if she got to meet you first but I will sacrifice for my sister, lol). Let me know if you are going to go (apparently seating is limited) and I will connect you two. Oh, and please check out my newly updated blog … I have spent a long time fixing it up (mostly because I am painfully slow about things electronic but nevertheless, it had to be done!). I would be interested in your feedback, good and constructive. Thanks and hope you have a blessed week!!

I’d love to meet your sister and the Vegup looks good! Thanks for the info and link, I’m very interested, but I can’t make it on Wednesday, March 26 as I am working, but I hope to go to another event in the future.

Fashion is fun, but health is more important!

What a nice place ! And those armchairs are lovable! You have a perfect body and look gorgeous in underwear! And you are right : there isn’t much difference with a bathing suit…last summer I posted on the beach.

My God, Carmen, that is a surprise. I have shame to enter a post for women, but after the shock must keep a cool head and think. I think you’re really pretty and sexy lingerie with this proposal, your figure looks wonderful. But also I think it samples a very elegant and beautiful way. The bra is cute but no lags behind pajamas, is a very beautiful and very elegant piece, with beautiful pattern and simple design, and the pink bow is fantastic. I hope, I am convinced that your modeling will be successful and will be the most elegant and beautiful of the contest. Happy weekend!

Dear Josep-Maria! Sorry to shock you! I hope you mean that you would have shame to post women in bras on your blog. 🙂 I actually wore one of the more modest outfits in the lingerie collection! Some others were more revealing but I think tasteful. As I said, women on the beach wear bikinis and far less than what we were wearing 😉 There were a few men in the audience (most likely husbands of the models) but it was all in good taste.

Thank you for your comment, I do appreciate you very much! It was not a contest for me. I was only modeling this time, but it was fun!!
