Kitchener’s Christkindl Market

Every December, I go to enjoy the sights and sounds and tastes of Kitchener’s annual German Christmas Market; Towering Christmas trees adorned with lights and pretty ornaments, Christmas carols echoing through the air, fresh-off-the-grill potato pancakes, giant pretzels, hot glühwein (mulled wine), poppyseed squares and marzipan.

So many beautiful gifts to choose from. There are hand-made items by Canadian artisans, imports from Germany, baked goods and lots more.

This traditional Christmas festival makes memories for all to treasure through the years!

The four day event is held at the City Hall and has an outdoor skating rink. Bring your skates and make it a family affair.
