Las Olas – a day in Ft. Lauderdale

It’s a cold day in February but my mind drifts back to sunny memories of Florida. This day in Ft Lauderdale began with breakfast at Starbucks, a quick stop at Festival Flea Market to buy the black sandals I am wearing. Then off to the beach at Las Olas and a walk along the beachfront boutiques and shops.

Jean and I did not plan to coordinate for these photos, we got dressed without knowing what the other was going to wear. In fact, I hadn’t even seen all the clothes she brought for the trip and Jean hadn’t seen mine.

After wading in the water up to our ankles and browsing through the shops, it’s time to relax for a refreshing drink and enjoy lunch at an outdoor patio.

Next: a drive to Las Olas Boulevard to the Riverwalk with floating restaurants and dinner cruises, more charming boutiques and galleries along the downtown boulevard with sidewalk restaurants on every block.

After a suntastic day, what’s better than a delicious dinner at the Sublime Restaurant?

Thanks Lucky! It was so funny as we looked at each other after getting dressed!! We changed our outfits in the car before going into the Sublime restaurant that evening (not because we were dressed similar; we had already planned to dress-up for the occasion).
