What to do on a cold day in January? Reminisce of summer days and dream of warm, sunny days ahead!
Through the years I have enjoyed winter sports; skating, tobogganing and cross-country skiing, but when temperatures drop way below freezing and the frigid air takes my breath away, and my nose and toes freeze, I prefer to stay cozy and warm indoors, and remember those lovely, summer days.
Here are some outfits I wore in the summer 2012. Canada Day (July 1st) starts the summer off with red and white. This red handkerchief skirt has a pretty, white lace print.
My white top is a peasant-style T-shirt with a delicate, crocheted neckline.
Roxy has great casual clothes, perfect for going to car shows. Every July Kitchener, Ontario has a fantastic car show, starting with a parade of all the fabulous cars in mint condition. My grandson likes this red Corvette Stingray.
There’s no shortage of car shows throughout the region. Car enthusiasts love to show off their vintage and classic cars after winter hibernation.
Some guys don’t mind if I sit on the running board.
I love flowers and gardens–this photo was taken in Victoria Park, downtown Kitchener.
Summer isn’t complete without a stroll through Stratford, Ontario.
It’s a warm feeling looking back at summer days …

Hurry up spring! It’s hard to remember that it gets that nice here when it’s so awful right now. Thanks for reminding me there is something to look forward to ; )

Such lovely photos! You’re making me yearn for spring!
Thank you, Jeannie! Not sure why I live in a northern climate – I love warm weather. Last January we escaped the winter! Florida dreaming on such a winter’s day!!!
I really like the first and last outfit, you look beautiful with them. The skirt and the top of the first one are beautiful, and the image is bucolic. In the past I love the combination of earth and black, with these beautiful necklaces, is a beautiful look.
Thank you, Josep!
How is the weather in your corner of the world?
On the Mediterranean coast of Catalonia, now does some cold (8 º C-46 º F) and high humidity. This is our winter, cold and moderate humidity, very little snow and little rain. I long for something more cold and snow.
You are so photogenic….always so graceful.
Thank you, Bob!
It’s a fun hobby and I appreciate your comments!
